《蒙古帝国的日常生活》（第4章）英汉翻译实践报告

本文是一篇基于乔治·莱恩的《蒙古帝国的日常生活》的英汉翻译实践报告。笔者选用该书的第四章作为此次翻译实践的源文本。该书共有12个章节,笔者选用该书的第四章“住”。该书主要从服饰、军队、宗教以及饮食等方面介绍了普通蒙古人的日常生活。此报告分析了其背景知识,翻译过程以及案例分析等。由于所选的原文本是一部史学著作,涉及大量的历史和文化内容,因此理解和翻译该文本具有一定的难度。笔者采用词法和句法层面的翻译方法去解决翻译实践中的翻译难点。首先,在词法方面的难点涉及专有名词和文化负载词的翻译,在句法方面的难点涉及复合句和长难句的翻译。该报告在考虑到英汉差异,笔者采用了一系列翻译技巧和方法,例如采用注释法,转换法和音译法去解决词法层面的难点,采用拆分法,增译法和重组句子结构去解决句法层面的困难,其中定语从句的翻译难度较大,因此,在翻译定语从句时,笔者采用了前置法以及后置法。最后,本实践报告总结了译者在本次翻译实践中所获得的经验以及翻译的不足之处。由于《蒙古帝国的日常生活》是一本描写蒙古帝国普通蒙古人的历史书籍,因此有必要增加其译文的可读性。一定程度上,通过该章的翻译以及相应翻译实践报告的撰写,为以后蒙古史料方面的翻译研究提供一定的借鉴和帮助。
