南海岛屿争端档案汉译实践报告

　　本报告的原文本为英国海外政策文件数据库(Documents on British Policy Overseas(DBPO))中的英国外交部档案,名为《中国在西沙群岛的主权》(Sovereignty of China over Paracel Islands,编号1931-F0-676-85),由若干份1931-1933年英国外交部官员间有关南海岛屿纷争的办公快信组成。作者负责该原文本的翻译,并据此撰写本翻译报告。办公快信的重要功能是进行高效的信息传递,所以办公快信的翻译要忠实原文,准确翻译原文本的信息。而且,译文应具有可读性,能呈现出与原文相同的文本效果。本文将以此为出发点来分析翻译中遇到的问题。第一,文中多专有名词,翻译时应尽量使用已有的规范化译文,以提升译文的准确性和可读性。第二,文中多复杂长句。翻译句子时,作者在确保信息得到准确翻译的前提下,使用了顺序、逆序、断句重构、转句解释、语态转换、综合法等方法增加译文的可读性。
