语篇衔接理论视角下《大英殖民帝国》（第二、十二章）汉译实践报告

　　作为近代最大的殖民国家,英国殖民地曾遍布全球。英国史学家阿尔弗雷德·考尔德科特的著作《大英殖民帝国》客观分析英国殖民扩张对殖民地及宗主国产生的影响,对研究欧洲乃至世界史都有着极其重要的意义。本次翻译任务节选自《大英殖民帝国》第二、十二章,详细对比英国与其他殖民帝国的不同之处,并简要总结反思其殖民进程中出现的问题。本翻译实践报告共五章。第一章引言部分主要介绍选题背景及意义;第二章为任务描述,从词法、句法、语篇层面分析原文本,并简要说明委托方对本次翻译任务的要求;第三章详细描述翻译过程,包括译前背景资料的查证、翻译理论及工具的选择、平行文本的分析以及翻译计划与术语表的制定;译中则是对译文质量控制及译后的反思与总结。第四章为案例分析,本翻译实践报告从词汇衔接和语法衔接两个层面,基于不同的衔接手段选取典型案例进行分析论证;第五章为结论,作者总结不同衔接手段中所采取的翻译技巧并反思不足之处。本翻译实践报告在语篇衔接理论指导下,从词汇衔接与语法衔接两个层面进行案例分析,探讨不同衔接手段在英汉翻译实践中的应用,并简要论述译者在翻译过程中应如何处理原文中的衔接手段。通过本次翻译实践,作者对英国殖民进程...
