《手绘鼓》（第一章）英汉翻译实践报告

　　本文为英译汉实践报告,以印第安小说《手绘鼓》(The Painted Drum)第一章为范本,旨在结合第一章译文典型案例分析《手绘鼓》中的翻译问题。随着印第安文学在美国文学中地位不断提高,印第安作家也逐渐把自己融入主流文学中。《手绘鼓》是一部具有浓烈的印第安文化气息的小说,译者希望通过翻译《手绘鼓》使中国读者更深入地了解印第安文化,增进中国文化与印第安文化的交流。该小说作者是路易丝·厄德里克(Louise Erdrich),她被誉为美国当代最天才的印第安作家,也是最具影响力的当代美国本土作家。该小说以女主人公费耶的视角口述了美国原住民的生活,故事情节曲折动人。目前《手绘鼓》英译汉翻译工作在国内外尚未展开,本报告对该小说第一章进行了翻译。通过英译汉翻译实践,译者在词法、句法和修辞方法层面解决了一些问题。例如:在词法方面,译者运用了一词多义,增词法和汉语四字词;在句法方面,译者运用了语态转换、顺句操作、句式重构和变词为句;在修辞手法方面,译者运用了明喻、暗喻、和排比。通过对该篇词汇、句式以及修辞等方面的润色和调整,译文显得更加贴切、合理以及顺畅。然而,译者发现译文的实际翻译效果与预期翻译效...
