暗恐与幻灭:《小夜曲》中的音乐性主题建构

石黑一雄被认为是英语世界中最著名的当代小说作家之一。《小夜曲》最集中地体现了石黑一雄创作的音乐性,其主要体现在以下两方面,在内容层面模仿音乐,石黑一雄以音乐为媒介、题材和主题,以音乐为线索,把不相关的人和事联系在一起,多侧面地表现并揭示现代人的生存状态及本质;其次,是在结构上模仿或借鉴音乐艺术。从宏观上来看这部小说集的结构,整本小说由同样的主题将五个故事连为一个整体,五个故事篇幅长短不一、节奏错落有致,快慢乐章的交替宛若一部交响乐。本文主要运用跨学科的研究方法,从文学与音乐的相通性入手,通过最能体现石黑一雄小说音乐性特点的作品解读,尤其是对《小夜曲》的细读,对其中的音乐性元素进行分析,以探究音乐与文学的深层关系以及音乐性对小说形式及观念的某种塑造。 论文第二章从文内主题和作品结构两方面入手来分析《小夜曲》中的音乐元素。石黑一雄利用音乐这一反复出现的意象,表达人类在面临历史转折和精神创伤时的渴望与恐惧交织的幻景。《小夜曲》中音乐化的结构布局,反复提及并占主导地位的音乐元素等都体现了小说音乐性和文学性的相互交织、相辅相成,体现了石黑一雄小说音乐化的特征。 第三章介绍音乐与“暗恐”。在心理表...
