1.0 Introduction 

This essay examines about corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its impact on society. CSR is the responsibility organizations need to take for their impact on society. Furthermore this has turned into a real concern and also CSR is about morals which need to be received by media. In addition CSR is yet another name for group improvement. Likewise it clarifies the general definitions and its questioning elucidations and also a wide learning on the thought of its belongings in a simple structure. This essay explains the points of interest and weaknesses and alternate points of view. Likewise it plans to present the learning advantages for the long run and establishment of manageability. According to Sujeewa (2014, p.18) sustainability is a situation where the needs of the current generation is fulfilled without compromising the needs of the future generations.
Firstly the meaning of CSR and different definitions will be discussed. Secondly the author will analyse the advantages and disadvantages of CSR. Furthermore, practical examples of CSR activities will be analysed. Lastly, the author will give a personal view towards the above statement.

For this reason Mullerat, R. says the definition of CSR is for company`s to add to a cleaner environment and better society. Similarly the Financial Times of Daily Mirror state that as a piece of the CSR action, 350 five-litre water bottles, 17 of 1,500 litre, 25 of 60 litre, 100 of 20 litre and 168 dry rations for 168 families in Kadawathmaduwa were distributed.
