【摘要】：关于语言与思维的关系,学界一直争论不休。2016年,加拿大导演丹尼斯·维伦纽瓦执导的科幻巨制《降临》改编自星云奖获得者特德·姜的小说《你一生的故事》,在科幻主题下重述了语言在人类思维形成中的奠定性作用。全片以语言学家萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说为理论基石,讲述了外星生物七肢桶所持环形符号的语言赋予了片中语言学家环形的时间视觉能力,过去、现在与未来的现实构成一种首尾相接环状关系。这实际是在科幻外衣下再次表征了语言在去除语音之后,文字能指与思维的关系密切的关系。
