从文本到影像:《罗密欧与朱丽叶》与其电影改编的对比研究

【摘要】:本·琼生眼里的莎士比亚不属于一个时代,而属于一切时代。莎翁的戏剧具有超越时代和超越地域的关键元素,能引起人类的共鸣和震撼。因此,其著作的电影改编率在世界电影史上居于榜首。据国外的学者考证,无声片时期有四百部左右的莎士比亚电影问世。《罗密欧与朱丽叶》自问世以来已被多次搬上银幕,为国内外莎剧爱好专家提供了研究素材。 本文选取《罗密欧与朱丽叶》(1954),《西区故事》(1961)及《罗密欧+朱丽叶—后现代激情篇》(1996)与原著进行比较分析。作者通过分析发现,忠实已不再是评判改编作品的唯一标准。随着时代的发展,大众口味和商业利益成为导演改编电影的依据。通过对这三部影片和原著进行比较,我们可以清晰地看到文学和电影是如何通过改编进行互动的:文学作品为电影提供了参考范本和创作灵感;电影也丰富了文本的解读和读者理解原著的角度,为文本注入了新鲜的血液,增强了文学作品的影响力。其次,所选取的三部改编影片对电影是糟蹋原著还是丰富原著的内涵这一问题做出了精辟的回答。 《罗密欧与朱丽叶》在主题上深化了原著。它把静态的文字变成动态的画面,使观众对原著有了直观的感受,加深了观众对原著的理解。《西区故事》是原著的现实版本,社会、种族、宗教矛盾代替了原著中的家族之仇。它把背景设置在20世纪60年代的美国,通过帮派争斗来突出美国那个年代的矛盾:种族矛盾、青年人犯罪等。《罗密欧+朱丽叶—后现代激情篇》则把原著移植到现代的美国,对原著进行了后现代主义阐释。从电影的名字到剧情都融合了后现代的元素,反映了后现代的迷茫和社会问题。它采用浪漫主义的夸张来彰显罗密欧与朱丽叶的爱情,突出悲剧主题。 通过电影改编理论、叙事学理论等文学批评手段对这三部电影进行分析,我们可以看到在数字文化时代,电影也是值得文学批评家研究的文本。改编将属于不同文化传播媒介的电影和名著拴在一起,其结合带来了两者的双向互动。改编不仅可以反映社会矛盾而且可以娱乐大众,使莎剧走进大众,扩大莎剧的影响力。文字艺术向银幕艺术的转变其实是以一种崭新的艺术形式维持原著的生命力。虽然电影可以对原著进行解读,但它展现的仅仅是原著某些方面的精华,要了解文学的博大精深,读者要深入探究文学作品。在由改编贯穿的从文本到电影,再从电影到文本的有机循环中,文学得到了升华、获得了新生,改编电影娱乐了大众、获得了经济效益。
[Abstract]:Shakespeare does not belong to an era, but belongs to all times. The drama of Shakespeare has a key element that transcends times and transcends the region. It can arouse the resonance and shock of human beings. Therefore, the film adaptation rate of his works is at the top of the world film history. According to the scholars from outside the country, there are four hundred left in the silent period. The right Shakespeare film came out. "Romeo and Juliet" has been moved to the screen many times since its inception, which provided research materials for experts in Shakespeare at home and abroad.
This paper makes a comparative analysis of Romeo and Juliet (1954), western region story (1961) and Romeo + Juliet - post modern passion article (1996) and the original work. Through the analysis, the author finds that loyalty is no longer the only standard for judging the adapted works. With the development of the times, the popular taste and commercial interests have become the basis of the film adaptation of the director. By comparing the three films to the original, we can clearly see how literature and films interact through adaptation: literature provides a reference model and creative inspiration for the film; the film also enriches text interpretation and readers' understanding of the original angle, injects fresh blood into the text and strengthens it. Secondly, the three selected films have made a penetrating answer to whether the movie is spoiling the original work or enriching the meaning of the original work.
"Romeo and Juliet" deepened the original work on the theme. It turned the static text into a dynamic picture, making the audience feel the original work intuitively and deepened the audience's understanding of the original. The Western story is the original version of the original, the social, racial, and religious contradictions that replace the original family's revenge. It uses romantic exaggeration to highlight the love between Romeo and Juliet, highlighting the theme of tragedy.
Through the film adaptation theory, the narrative theory and other literary criticism means to analyze the three films, we can see that in the digital culture era, the film is also a text worth the study of the literary critics. The adaptation of the film and the famous works of different cultural media is tied together, and the combination brings both the two ways of interaction. It can not only reflect social contradictions but also entertain the masses, make Shakespeare into the public and expand the influence of Shakespeare. The transformation of word art to the screen art is actually a new form of art to maintain the vitality of the original work. Although the film can read the original work, it is only the essence of some aspects of the original. To understand the profound and profound literature, readers should explore literary works. In the organic cycle of adaptation, from text to film, and from film to text, literature has been sublimated, got a new life, adapted movies to entertain the masses and gained economic benefits.
