中国电影跨文化传播的文化折扣问题研究
[Abstract]:In the context of globalization, film as an important medium in cross-cultural communication plays a profound role. Facts show that in the process of cross-cultural communication of films, because of the differences in language, way of thinking, habits of life and values of audiences from different cultural backgrounds, they have cognitive ability in watching film and television works. The degree of understanding and attractiveness can be greatly compromised, which is called "cultural discount" phenomenon. The current concept of "cultural discount" in the usual sense was put forward by Canadian scholars Hoskins (ColinHoskins) and Milus (R. Mirus), who believe that films and television products rooted in a particular culture, such as television programs, Film is very popular in China, but its cultural value will be reduced in international trade because its cultural connotation is difficult to be recognized or understood by the audience in other regions. In the history of cross-cultural communication of Chinese films, due to various reasons, it is always in the state of imbalance between input and output, among which the influence of "cultural discount" cannot be underestimated. By analyzing the expression and cause of "cultural discount" in the film, this paper tries to find out the mechanism of this cultural phenomenon from the cultural level and the basic theory of communication. Some viewpoints and suggestions on how to effectively reduce cultural discount in cross-cultural communication of Chinese films are put forward. This paper is divided into five parts. In the first part, the background, the existing problems, the present situation, the purpose and significance of the research, the specific research methods and the possible theories are briefly introduced. The second part briefly introduces the concept of cultural discount. The third part shows the history and present situation of cross-cultural communication of Chinese films and the phenomenon of cultural discount. The fourth part analyzes the causes of cultural discount from the cultural level and theoretical level. The fifth part puts forward some suggestions on how to reduce or avoid the cultural discount in the cross-cultural communication of Chinese films through the analysis of examples.
