【摘要】：当我们面对这个熟知的世界时，有太多的熟悉的东西已经被挖掘、被表现出来，而如何将我们所看到的、所感受的描绘出来变成了重点研究对象。现实对艺术家的要求从以往的被单纯的真实的还原到现如今艺术家用过自己的眼睛，自己作为艺术实践的个体随着这个不断发展的世界产生新的理解和想法。大卫·霍克尼是20世纪英国最重要的艺术家之一，他在绘画、摄影、舞台设计、蚀刻、等领域都作出了独特的艺术贡献。他在每次创作中都力求用不同的绘画语言和媒介来创作出最好最生动的作品。20世纪80年代，他创造性地将照片拼贴成一幅幅画作，这种独特技艺发展成为一种新的摄影艺术形式。霍克尼也把这种被众人称之为“霍克尼式”摄影技术融入到绘画中去，新的创作方法改变了霍克尼的绘画方式。霍克尼的作品趋于平面化，这种类型的框架占据整幅画的大部分面积，他利用自己杰出的构造大框架的设计才能，将一些差异较大或互相排斥的事物有机和谐的安排在一起，让人们在观看作品时不仅没有感觉到内容的突兀，反而感到绘画元素的匠心独运。他还把物理学的发展与艺术透视学和空间观念的变革进行创作性的比较研究，出版了一本名为《隐秘的知识》的书籍。书中大胆提出：传统的写实画家为使作品达到“生动逼真”的效果而采用某种透镜成像的光学仪器对所画事物进行光影分析。他凭借自己独特的艺术作品和实践证明了绘画、图像之间的孪生与共栖关系，霍克尼的绘画创作理念和观察方法以及对空间的表现方式具有重大的启发意义。霍克尼首次使用Iphone、ipod作画再次引起大众的瞩目。方便快捷的画面修改方式满足了人们对快餐文化的心理需求，同时不但保持了他原有创作风格和每一笔独特的创作方式，并且高像素的色彩、完美无痕的修饰完全体现出新科技给人类生活带来的美感，而且ｉＰａｄ配置的绘画的回放软件使欣赏者可以从另一个角度观赏到画家作画的过程细节，毫无疑问是对传统画家绘画和欣赏着观看方式的创新。大卫·霍克尼在每次创作中都力求用不同的绘画语言和媒介来创新，通过极具个性的创意及独特的见解，使得欣赏者轻易的走进他的内心世界。我们随意翻开霍克尼的任意一本画册，都会为他的多元性感到惊叹。油画、丙烯、铅笔、蚀刻，照片拼贴，广告招贴、舞台设计，，写实、涂鸦、立体主义、表现主义，单色调、浓墨重彩……无不有声有色。霍克尼每一段时间的作品都有独特之处，无论是绘画技巧还是绘画方式，因为在他的世界里，挑战等同于吸引力。尽管绘画主题丰富多彩但不变的是作者对生活的细细体会，生活中的角角落落，陌生路人的一个小动作，亲朋好友的一个微笑，都会让霍克尼自然而然的拿起画笔，将一幕幕生活琐碎变成一幅幅生机盎然的图画，就如画者所言：艺术是一种分享，艺术家就要通过它来与大家分享一次体验、一个思绪。
