从文体学角度看张爱玲《金锁记》的翻译

【摘要】:文体学是介于语言学与文学之间的一门交叉学科,使用语言学为工具,对文学作品进行分析、评论。它将文学作品的形式与内容相结合,强调语言学的描写,又重视文学批评的阐释;是连接语言学与文学批评的桥梁。语言学文体学的出现为文体学研究提供了有用的工具,,改变了传统的文学翻译批评方法的印象性和直觉性,使其更加系统,直观。文学批评者们能够对文章的文体特征做出系统化的描述,分析和研究的结果能够指导翻译者对文学作品的翻译,同时翻译批评者可以用此方法评价一篇文学作品的不同译本。在我国,语言学文体学已经和翻译实践与翻译批评相结合,但还需进一步探讨和研究。 20世纪80年代以来,文学界对张爱玲文学作品的研究重视起来,而对她作为翻译家的地位没有给予应有的重视,直到20世纪90年代,张爱玲的翻译家身份得到认同和重视,随之而起的张爱玲翻译研究也进入学术界视野。她的成名之作《金锁记》历经翻译、改写,现存四个版本。从1943年首次发表直到1971年《怨女》的出版,历时28年,在翻译研究中是非常独特的现象。本文将研究张爱玲《金锁记》几个版本之间的变化以及造成几度翻译和改写的原因。 本文将选取从《金锁记》到The Golden Cangue为研究分析对象。本研究从语言学文体学角度采用Leech和Short的语言学及文体学衡量标准,分析在语音、词汇、句法、修辞层面的两个版本的风格表达。同时,作者也将提出新的衡量方面—意象传达。本研究将采用语言学及文学批评的方法进行阐释。首先,作者将找出《金锁记》当中体现小说主题意义和美学价值的独特的文体学特点;其次,将讨论这些文体特点是否成功转译到The Golden Cangue中。通过对原文和译文的比较和分析,发现张爱玲译文有其优点和弱点。即使译文中有不到之处,张爱玲依然是翻译《金锁记》的很好译者。同时,本研究也在语言学文体学应用于翻译方面提出自己的见解。
[Abstract]:Stylistics is an interdisciplinary discipline between linguistics and literature. It uses linguistics as a tool to analyze and comment on literary works. It combines the form and content of literary works and emphasizes the description of linguistics. And attach importance to the interpretation of literary criticism; The appearance of linguistic stylistics provides a useful tool for stylistic research and changes the impressiveness and intuition of traditional literary translation criticism and makes it more systematic. Literary critics can systematically describe the stylistic features of the article, and the results of analysis and research can guide the translator to translate the literary works. At the same time, translation critics can use this method to evaluate different versions of a literary work. In China, linguistic stylistics has been combined with translation practice and translation criticism, but further study is needed. Since 1980s, the literary circles have attached great importance to the study of Zhang Ailing's literary works, but not paid due attention to her status as a translator until 1990s. Zhang Ailing's identity as a translator has been recognized and taken seriously, and then the academic field of study has come into view. Her famous book "Golden Lock" has been translated and rewritten. Four existing editions. It took 28 years from the first publication on 1943 to the publication of "the resentful woman" on 1971. It is a very unique phenomenon in translation studies. This paper will study the changes between several versions of Zhang Ailing's Golden Lock and the reasons for several times of translation and rewriting. This article will select from "Gold Lock" to The Golden. From the perspective of linguistic stylistics, this study adopts the linguistic and stylistic standards of Leech and Short. Analyze two versions of stylistic expressions at the phonological, lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical levels. The author will also propose a new aspect of measurement-image communication. This study will be interpreted by linguistic and literary criticism. First of all. The author will find out the unique stylistic features of the novel's thematic meaning and aesthetic value in the Book of the Golden Lock. Secondly, we will discuss whether these stylistic features have been successfully translated into The Golden Cangue. It is found that Zhang Ailing's translation has its advantages and disadvantages. Even if there are not many points in the translation, Zhang Ailing is still a good translator for the translation of the Golden Lock. The present study also puts forward its own views on the application of linguistic stylistics to translation.
