中英请求言语行为差异分析

【摘要】:本论文以言语行为理论为理论框架,对中英文化中“请求”言语行为从句法水平、语篇水平和相互作用方式等方面入手进行系统分析,从而发现中英文化中请求行为的相同和不同之处及其原因,那就是:语言因素、社会因素和文化因素。 本文首先回顾了言语行为理论的定义,系统地介绍了奥斯汀和塞尔的言语行为理论。奥斯汀的学说可以归纳为:说话的同时就是做事情。这种理论把语言同人的行为联系起来,这是奥斯汀在语言哲学领域中做出的独特贡献。美国哲学家塞尔继承和发展了奥斯汀的言语行为理论,塞尔的经典言语行为理论则具备系统化和规范化两个特点。使该理论对当代哲学、逻辑学和语言学产生了深远影响。奥斯汀和塞尔的言语行为理论在语言哲学的发展中都具有重要的意义。 作者选择请求言语行为作为研究焦点。详述了请求言语行为的类型,并且查阅了大量前人学者的研究资料,然后对中英不同语言水平的请求行为进行详细调查,分别从句法水平、语篇水平和相互作用方式等方面进行分析比较,采用定性分析和定量分析相结合的方法,并得出以下结论:在英语文化中,规约性间接策略被广泛使用。 经过对比研究,作者发现一般来说,美国人比中国人更随意、更直接。中国人请求策略的选择要么过于直接,要么过于间接,经常采用“暗示”方略提出请求。其原因在于:中英国家受不同的语言因素、社会因素和文化因素的影响。儒家文化可以被看作是中国文化的代表;理性主义就是西方文化的代表。 本论文的最后结论是:各种请求言语方式的策略没有好坏之分。判别一种请求言语方式,必须把它置于特定的文化之下。多了解中西文化关于请求言语策略的异同,有助于人们了解西方文化。对于语言学习者及应用者来说,只有加强文化意识,将语言学习和文化学习融合起来。同时培养跨文化交际的技巧。才能保证跨文化交际的成功。
[Abstract]:In this paper, the framework of speech act theory, the English culture request speech acts of syntactic level, discourse level and interaction method of system analysis, which found that requests in the English and Chinese culture similarities and differences and their causes, that is: language factors, and cultural factors the society.
This paper first reviews the definition of speech act theory, the paper systematically introduces the theory of speech acts of Austen and Searl. Austen's theory can be summarized as: speak and do things. This theory combine language with the behavior of people, this is Austen's unique contribution in the field of philosophy of language made by the American philosopher Searl inherited. And the development of Austen's speech act theory, speech act theory of Searl has a systematic and standardized two characteristics. The theory of contemporary philosophy, has produced profound influence in logic and Linguistics of speech act theory. Austen and Searl are of great significance in the development of the language philosophy.
The author chooses the speech act of request as a research focus. Describes the types of speech acts, and reviewed the research data of a large number of previous scholars, and then requests on the different language level to conduct a detailed investigation, respectively the syntactic level, discourse level and interaction methods were analyzed and compared, the methods of qualitative analysis and a combination of quantitative analysis, and draws the following conclusion: in English culture, indirect strategy is widely used.
After the comparative study, the author found that generally speaking, Americans are more casual, more than Chinese directly. Chinese request selection strategies are either too direct, or too indirect, often using "hints" strategy request. The reason is that: by different linguistic factors in English speaking countries, the influence factors and cultural factors of Confucian society. Culture can be seen as representative of Chinese culture; rationalism is representative of western culture.
The final conclusions of this paper are: all kinds of request strategy are not good or bad. A decision request speech, it must be placed in specific culture. Understand the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western culture on request strategies, help people to understand western culture. For language learning and application, only to strengthen the cultural awareness, language learning and cultural learning together. At the same time to cultivate intercultural communication skills. In order to ensure the success of cross-cultural communication.
