英汉经济术语的隐喻认知研究

【摘要】：两千多年来，隐喻作为一种语言现象，受到中外众多学者的关注。有关隐喻的理论有很多，从比较论到替代论，再从互动论到概念隐喻论。传统的隐喻观认为，隐喻是一种主要运用在诗歌中的语言现象和一种修辞手段。1980年, LakoffJohnson的著作《我们赖以生存的隐喻》的出版标志着隐喻研究进入了新的认知时代。认知隐喻观认为，隐喻不仅是一种语言现象，，而且是人类理解世界的一种认知手段和思维方式，贯穿于语言，文化，思维和社会活动中。它通过隐喻映射的过程，使人们用相对熟悉、具体的源域去理解复杂、抽象的目的域。它在人类认识和改造世界的过程中具有重要的作用。随着现代经济的迅猛发展，英汉经济术语中的隐喻运用层出不穷。作者针对此现象，基于认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论，运用描述与解释相结合的方法，着重分析和研究人类如何利用熟知的具体的概念来理解复杂抽象的经济术语及经济活动。本文从2000年到2012年的《经济学人》、《商业周刊》、《财经时报》、《中国日报》、新浪财经网、凤凰财经网中收集了大量语料。文章研究结果显示，人类主要通过七种常见的概念隐喻理解经济问题和经济活动，分别是：空间隐喻、水隐喻、旅行隐喻、容器隐喻、人体隐喻、战争隐喻和机器隐喻。文章揭示了隐喻已成为理解英汉经济术语中的抽象经济现象和经济概念的主要机制，并且证实了概念隐喻的体验本质源于物理世界的人类经验，东西方民族有着相似的心理体验及心理模型。概念隐喻的源域与目标域之间的映射具有普遍性、系统性以及非任意性的特点。本研究也可以加深我们对经济语篇的阅读理解，并对外语教学及商业谈判领域的研究具有一定的参考价值。
[Abstract]:For more than two thousand years, metaphor, as a linguistic phenomenon, has attracted the attention of many scholars both at home and abroad. There are many theories about metaphor, from comparison to substitution, and from interaction to conceptual metaphor. Metaphor is a linguistic phenomenon and a rhetorical device mainly used in poetry. In 1980, the publication of LakoffJohnson's book metaphor for our Survival marked the beginning of a new cognitive age for the study of metaphor. Metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but also a cognitive means and a way of thinking for human beings to understand the world. It runs through language, culture, thinking and social activities. The concrete source domain is used to understand the complex and abstract target domain, which plays an important role in the process of understanding and transforming the world. With the rapid development of modern economy, metaphors in English and Chinese economic terms are used in an endless stream. In response to this phenomenon, the author, based on the conceptual metaphor theory in cognitive linguistics, uses the method of combining description with explanation. In this paper, from 2000 to 2012, the Economist, Business Weekly, Financial Times, China Daily, Sina. com. The research results show that human beings understand economic problems and economic activities mainly through seven common conceptual metaphors: spatial metaphor, water metaphor, travel metaphor and container metaphor. Human metaphor, war metaphor and machine metaphor. This paper reveals that metaphor has become the main mechanism for understanding abstract economic phenomena and economic concepts in English and Chinese economic terms. It also proves that the essence of conceptual metaphor comes from the human experience in the physical world. The eastern and western nations have similar psychological experiences and psychological models. The mapping between the source domain and target domain of conceptual metaphor is universal. This study can also deepen our reading comprehension of economic discourse and provide a reference for the study of foreign language teaching and business negotiation.
