【摘要】：本论文主要研究剑桥大学中文教授翟理斯（Herbert Allen Giles）编写的初级汉语教材《百个最好的汉字》（《The hundred best characters》）。分析《百个最好的汉字》的教学内容和教学方法，评价它的编写原则、编写思想，以期对当今对外汉语教学有所启示。第一章为绪论，主要说明选题意义，回顾前人对早期英国外交官汉语学习的研究状况，，以及对翟理斯和翟理斯学术著作的研究情况。交代研究的理论和方法，并对本文研究的文献来源进行说明。第二章研究翟理斯其人其书，第一部分整理翟理斯的生平，重点论述他的汉语学习过程，概括介绍《百个最好的汉字》的内容和翟理斯其他语言学著作。第二部分考察《百个最好的汉字》的编写背景，探讨影响该书的学者及著作，同时探讨《百个最好的汉字》体现的语言观，窥探翟理斯对汉语及汉语教学的认识。第三章为《百个最好的汉字》的教学内容分析。本章从汉字教学、词汇教学、语法教学三个层面整合了《百个最好的汉字》的内容。汉字教学部分分析《百个最好的汉字》的汉字特点及汉字教学方法。词汇教学部分讨论《百个最好的汉字》中汉字和词的关系、词的构成规律、词的分类及词汇教学方法。语法教学部分评述《百个最好的汉字》的词组教学和句子教学，分别讨论该书词组的分类情况、功能、编排特点及教学方法和句子的分类情况、用法、编排特点及教学方法。第四章评价《百个最好的汉字》，主要从编写原则入手，评价该书的优点与不足。最后一部分为结语，总结本文的观点，概括《百个最好的汉字》的独特思想，希望引起后人的关注。
[Abstract]:This thesis focuses on the primary Chinese textbook "100 best Chinese characters" (< The hundred best characters >) written by Herbert Allen Giles, a Chinese professor at Cambridge University. This paper analyzes the teaching contents and teaching methods of "100 Best Chinese characters", evaluates its compiling principles and ideas, and hopes to enlighten the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language today. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly explains the significance of the topic, reviews the previous studies on the early British diplomats' Chinese learning, as well as the academic works of Zareth and Zareth. The theory and method of metasomatism research, and the literature source of this paper are explained. The second chapter studies Zhai's book. The first part deals with his life, focuses on his Chinese learning process, and introduces the contents of "100 best Chinese characters" and his other linguistic works. The second part examines the background of the compilation of 100 best Chinese characters, probes into the scholars and works that influence the book, and probes into the linguistic views embodied in "100 best Chinese characters", and probes into Zhai's understanding of Chinese and its teaching. The third chapter is the analysis of the teaching content of 100 best Chinese characters. This chapter integrates the contents of 100 best Chinese characters from three levels: Chinese character teaching, vocabulary teaching and grammar teaching. The Chinese character teaching part analyzes the Chinese character characteristic and the Chinese character teaching method of "100 best Chinese characters". In the part of vocabulary teaching, the relationship between Chinese characters and words, the rules of word formation, the classification of words and the teaching methods of vocabulary are discussed. In the part of grammar teaching, the phrase teaching and sentence teaching of "100 best Chinese characters" are reviewed, and the classification, function, arrangement characteristics, teaching methods and sentence classification of the phrases in this book are discussed respectively. The fourth chapter evaluates 100 best Chinese characters, mainly from the writing principle, evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of the book. The last part is the conclusion, summing up the viewpoint of this paper, summarizing the unique thought of "100 best Chinese characters", hoping to arouse the attention of future generations.
