功能对等理论视角下的数字模糊及其翻译

【摘要】:数字的基本功能是计数并体现出精确性,但在文学作品和日常生活中数字却呈现出模糊性。中英文数字处于不同的文化体系,因此在翻译中必须要遵循一定的原则和策略。在跨文化交际中文化冲突随处可见,随着文化战略方针的制定,就需要选择合适的翻译方法更好地传递文化,尤其是被赋予文化内涵的模糊数字。但就目前翻译理论与实践发展趋势而言,模糊数字的翻译研究相对薄弱,翻译不能充分体现出原文化内涵甚至导致误解;并且大部分研究是从归化和异化着手,以功能对等理论为指导相对较少,因此如何有效地利用此理论探寻具体的翻译方法已成为待解决的问题。 美国翻译家尤金·奈达提出的功能对等理论对于深入解决跨文化翻译中意义对等问题有很大启示,对国内外翻译界都产生了深远影响,在跨文化翻译实践中也作为理论基础被广泛应用,因此本文作者认为利用功能对等理论指导赋予文化内涵的模糊数字翻译研究意义重大。除了功能对等理论,本文也从模糊语言学出发探讨了数字的模糊现象,并探讨影响数字模糊性的文化因素以及模糊数字的重要作用。 论文对大量模糊数字特别是成语、习语、诗歌中的数字进行收集整理,并仔细分析和研究赋予丰富文化内涵的数字,结合本文的指导理论功能对等理论,采取文本分析法,文献资料法和比较法收集分析模糊数字,从而得出模糊数字具体的翻译方法:直译,意译,直译加注,替代,省略以及创造性翻译。译者如果在翻译中要达到功能对等的目的,即使目的语读者和原语读者对模糊数字的理解达到最大程度的一致,应根据具体情况选择适当的方法才能实现。本文第一章简要介绍论文研究的起源,意义以及结构。第二章介绍了模糊语言学理论的国内外研究情况,阐述了语言中模糊现象的普遍性,以引出下文数字的模糊性,然后介绍了奈达的功能对等理论,为本文讨论模糊数字的翻译策略奠定理论基础。在理论介绍与分析之后,第三章探讨了数字模糊性及其重要作用,预示着其翻译的必要性,第四章在功能对等理论的指导下分析大量语料以研究模糊数字的具体翻译方法并指出在适当情况下几种方法相结合以达到功能对等。 总而言之,数字具有模糊性并在跨文化交流中意义重大,直译和意译等翻译方法在模糊数字的具体翻译中起到重要作用。模糊语言学在中国起步较晚,从模糊语言学出发研究数字模糊性并且借助功能对等理论指导模糊数字具体翻译并不多见,因此本文从模糊语言学出发,在功能对等理论指导下研究模糊数字翻译方法,对于数字模糊研究具有一定价值并且能够更充分更恰当地传递文化信息,也具有重大创新意义。
[Abstract]:The basic function of numbers is to count and reflect accuracy, but in literary works and daily life, figures show fuzziness. Chinese and English numerals are in different cultural systems, so we must follow certain principles and strategies in translation. Cultural conflicts are ubiquitous in cross-cultural communication. With the formulation of cultural strategic guidelines, it is necessary to choose appropriate translation methods to better transfer culture, especially the vague numbers which are endowed with cultural connotations. However, as far as the development trend of translation theory and practice is concerned, the study of fuzzy numbers translation is relatively weak, and translation cannot fully reflect the original cultural connotation or even lead to misunderstanding, and most of the studies begin with domestication and alienation. Guided by the theory of functional equivalence, Therefore, how to effectively use this theory to explore specific translation methods has become a problem to be solved. The functional equivalence theory put forward by American translator Eugene Nida has great implications for solving the problem of meaningful equivalence in cross-cultural translation. It has exerted a profound influence on the translation circles both at home and abroad and has been widely used as a theoretical basis in cross-cultural translation practice. Therefore, the author thinks that it is of great significance to use functional equivalence theory to guide the study of fuzzy digital translation with cultural connotations. In addition to the functional equivalence theory, this paper also discusses the fuzzy phenomenon of numbers from the perspective of fuzzy linguistics, and discusses the cultural factors that affect the fuzziness of numbers and the important role of fuzzy numbers. In this paper, a large number of fuzzy numbers, especially idioms, idioms and idioms are discussed. The figures in poetry are collected and sorted, and the numbers endowed with rich cultural connotations are carefully analyzed and studied. Combined with the guiding theory of functional equivalence in this paper, the text analysis method, the literature method and the comparative method are adopted to collect and analyze fuzzy numbers. The specific translation methods of fuzzy numbers are as follows: literal translation, free translation, literal annotation, substitution, ellipsis and creative translation. If the translator wants to achieve functional equivalence in translation, even if the target language reader and the original reader have the highest degree of consistency in their understanding of fuzzy numbers, appropriate methods should be chosen according to the specific circumstances. The first chapter briefly introduces the origin, significance and structure of the thesis. The second chapter introduces the research situation of fuzzy linguistics at home and abroad, expounds the universality of fuzzy phenomena in language, and then introduces Nida's functional equivalence theory in order to elicit the fuzziness of the following numbers. This paper lays a theoretical foundation for the discussion of the translation strategies of fuzzy numbers. After the theoretical introduction and analysis, the third chapter discusses the fuzziness of numbers and its important role, which indicates the necessity of its translation. Chapter four, guided by functional equivalence theory, analyzes a large number of data to study the specific translation methods of fuzzy numbers and points out that under appropriate circumstances, several methods are combined to achieve functional equivalence. Numbers have fuzziness and are of great significance in cross-cultural communication. Literal and free translation methods play an important role in the concrete translation of fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy linguistics starts late in China, so it is rare to study the fuzziness of numbers from the perspective of fuzzy linguistics and to guide the concrete translation of fuzzy numbers with the help of functional equivalence theory. Therefore, this paper proceeds from fuzzy linguistics. Under the guidance of functional equivalence theory, the study of fuzzy digital translation is of great value to the study of digital fuzziness and can transfer cultural information more fully and appropriately, and it is also of great significance in innovation.
