中英时间隐喻中文化因素对比分析研究

【摘要】：本论文运用认知语言学中Lakoff提出的概念隐喻理论分析中英两种语言中的时间概念隐喻,并从文化因素的角度对中英时间隐喻进行对比分析,揭示其背后所隐藏的中西文化差异。根据概念隐喻理论,可将时间概念隐喻分为三大类,即“本体时间隐喻”、“结构性时间隐喻”和“方向性时间隐喻”。本研究尝试采用对比分析方法对这三类时间隐喻的始源域中的文化因素相似性和相异性进行对比分析。 本研究随机在网络中收集了200条左右的中英时间短句,进行筛选和分类,最终确定了156条中英时间概念隐喻短句,其中英文时间隐喻79条,中文时间隐喻77条。对所收集的中英时间概念隐喻进行分类并从文化的相似性和差异性两个视角展开始源域的映射研究,分别分析文化因素在中英时间概念隐喻始源域中的构建过程和映射机制。 研究结果显示,在众多的文化因素中,时间观差异、地理特征差异、宗教文化差异以及价值观差异是导致中英时间概念隐喻始源域的相同与不同的主要因素。通过对中英时间概念隐喻的比较探究其文化因素的根源,能更深入地了解中英时间隐喻表征以及英汉民族不同的文化。这对于促进文化交流,增进理解,促进社会进步能起到积极作用。
[Abstract]:This thesis uses the conceptual metaphor theory put forward by Lakoff in cognitive linguistics to analyze the conceptual metaphor of time in both Chinese and English languages, and makes a comparative analysis of time metaphor in English and Chinese from the perspective of cultural factors to reveal the cultural differences between China and the West hidden behind it. According to the theory of conceptual metaphor, conceptual metaphor of time can be divided into three categories, namely "Noumenon time metaphor", "structural time metaphor" and "directional time metaphor". This study attempts to make a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences of cultural factors in the origin domain of these three temporal metaphors by means of comparative analysis. In this study, about 200 Chinese and English temporal short sentences were collected at random, then selected and classified. Finally, 156 Chinese and English conceptual metaphorical sentences were identified, of which 79 were Chinese and English temporal metaphors and 77 were Chinese time metaphors. This paper classifies the Chinese and English conceptual metaphors of time and studies the mapping of the origin domain from the perspectives of cultural similarity and difference, and analyzes the construction process and mapping mechanism of cultural factors in the origin domain of Chinese and English temporal conceptual metaphors. The results show that, among the many cultural factors, the differences of time view, geographical characteristics, religious culture and values are the main factors leading to the same and different origins of conceptual metaphor of time in China and English. By comparing the conceptual metaphors of time between China and English, we can find out the root causes of their cultural factors, and can better understand the representations of time metaphors and the different cultures of English and Chinese peoples. This can play a positive role in promoting cultural exchange, understanding and social progress.
