多媒体注释对二语词汇附带习得的影响元分析

【摘要】:词汇附带习得一直是二语习得领域中一个重要的方面。而影响词汇附带习得的因素以及哪一种因素对词汇附带习得的影响最大一直是研究者们关注的问题。众多国内外研究表明,注释作为其中一种因素,对词汇附带习得有积极的影;不同类型的注释对词汇附带习得具有不同的影响。 近年来,随着计算机技术在教学中的广泛应用,一些研究者开始关注多媒体注释,即在注释中加入多种类型,如声音,图片,录像甚至是动画等,从而进一步研究该注释二语词汇附带习得的影响。随着研究的深入,国外一些学者开始用元分析的方法对已有的研究进行再分析,但是国内采用元分析方法对二语习得进行研究的成果很少,对多媒体注释对二语词汇附带习得的影响进行研究的文献更少。 因此,本文在前人研究的基础上,用元分析的方法对国内外多媒体对二语词汇附带习得的影响进行研究,旨在证实和扩展前人的研究。本文通过对国内外数据库的检索,共收集了13篇符合选取标准的多媒体注释对二语词汇附带习得的文章,并进行了元分析。结果表明,多媒体注释对二语词汇附带习得有积极影响;多重注释与单一注释相比而言,多重注释的影响更大;当学习者熟练程度被考虑在内时,结果发现多重多媒体注释对初学者的影响比对中等和高等熟练程度的学生影响更大;就测试方式而言,使用输入测试比输出测试词汇附带习得更多。
[Abstract]:Incidental vocabulary acquisition has always been an important aspect in the field of second language acquisition. However, the factors that influence incidental vocabulary acquisition and which factors have the greatest influence on incidental vocabulary acquisition have always been concerned by researchers. Many studies at home and abroad show that annotation, as one of the factors, has a positive effect on incidental vocabulary acquisition, and that different types of annotation have different effects on incidental vocabulary acquisition. In recent years, with the wide application of computer technology in teaching, some researchers begin to pay attention to multimedia annotation, that is, to add a variety of types to the annotation, such as sound, pictures, video and even animation. Thus, the effect of incidental acquisition of the annotated second language vocabulary is further studied. With the deepening of the research, some foreign scholars began to reanalyze the existing research by meta-analysis. However, there are few achievements in domestic research on second language acquisition by meta-analysis. There is less literature on the effect of multimedia annotation on incidental second language vocabulary acquisition. Therefore, based on the previous studies, this paper uses meta-analysis to study the effects of multimedia on incidental second language vocabulary acquisition at home and abroad, in order to confirm and expand the previous studies. Based on the retrieval of databases at home and abroad, this paper collects 13 articles about incidental acquisition of second language vocabulary by multimedia annotations which meet the selection criteria, and carries out meta-analysis. The results show that multimedia annotation has a positive effect on incidental second language vocabulary acquisition, multiple annotation has more influence than single annotation. When learners' proficiency was taken into account, it was found that multiple multimedia annotations had a greater impact on beginners than those with intermediate and advanced proficiency. In terms of test methods, the use of input tests is much more incidental to vocabulary acquisition than output testing.
