“衔接手段”在《辛巴达航海历险记》翻译中的应用

【摘要】：语篇是作者表达其观点的一个语言整体。二十世纪七十年代以后,学者们开始认识到翻译的单位不再是一个一个孤立的词句,而是一个语篇。语篇中的各个部分通过各种衔接手段衔接在一起。衔接是否得当,直接关系到语篇要表达的信息能否被读者理解和接受。 英汉两种语言、思维方式的不同,从某种程度上来说,决定了其语篇衔接方式的不同。在将汉语译为英语的时候,必须先对英语中的衔接手段有一定的了解,这样才能在翻译的过程中做出正确的处理。 本文将从五个部分进行阐述。第一个部分主要介绍本文的研究目的和研究方法。第二部分简要介绍英语中的衔接手段。第三部分简要地分析由出版社提供的《辛巴达航海历险记》中文版的语言特点。第四部分将从照应、替代、省略和连接四个方面,通过举例总结衔接手段在《辛巴达航海历险记》翻译中的应用。在最后的部分中,总结归纳衔接手段在此次翻译中的应用,为笔者将来处理衔接手段的翻译时提供一定的借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:Discourse is a linguistic whole in which the author expresses his views. After the 1970s, scholars began to realize that the unit of translation is no longer an isolated word, but a text. The various parts of a text are joined together by various cohesive devices. The appropriateness of cohesion is directly related to whether the information to be expressed in the text can be understood and accepted by the readers. To a certain extent, the differences between English and Chinese in their modes of thinking determine the differences in their cohesive modes of discourse. When translating Chinese into English, we must have a certain understanding of the cohesive devices in English in order to make the correct processing in the process of translation. This article will be elaborated from five parts. The first part mainly introduces the purpose and method of this paper. The second part briefly introduces the cohesive devices in English. The third part briefly analyzes the language features of the Chinese version of Sinbad Adventures provided by the publishing house. The fourth part summarizes the application of cohesive devices in the translation of the Adventures of Sinbad from four aspects: anaphora, substitution, ellipsis and connection. In the last part, the author summarizes the application of inductive cohesive devices in this translation, and provides some references for the author to deal with the translation of cohesive devices.
