英汉焦点色词汇的跨文化对比研究
[Abstract]:The study of color vocabulary plays an important role in the category theory of cognitive linguistics. People study the categorization of language by studying the classification of color vocabulary. Color cognitive research can effectively help people understand and understand the concept of "category". In the traditional category view, the study of color vocabulary makes people think that the real world of human life is a continuum, and as the most important and basic classification of human cognitive activities, that is, categorization. It's just a product of language and culture. It is believed that the classification of colors can be obtained through learning. However, with the deepening of the research, people find that when applying the traditional category theory to the analysis of specific linguistic phenomena, some defects that cannot be overcome are exposed. Linguists have to look for another category view which is different from classical category theory. Linguists have come to the conclusion over a long period of time that although the number of terms describing colors in different languages varies in number and coverage varies, But the sort of basic color words in almost all the languages studied follows a potentially relatively consistent order, that is, "focus color". The concept of "focus color" established the basic color category. On the basis of this, linguists further put forward the theory of archetypes and basic level categories, that is, many categories are formed around a prototype. Language is inseparable from culture, and cultural patterns have an important influence on language cognition. In cross-cultural communication, the practical use of color words in different languages also shows the cultural similarities and differences, which can be called color cultural differences. From the two aspects of language, culture and culture, there are many differences in the use and understanding of color words between English and Chinese because of the differences in cultural background and historical background. Through the analysis of different cultural communication modes and deep structures between China and the West, we can see the influence of cultural differences on the learning and cognition of English and Chinese focus color words, so as to better understand the concept of color category.
