现代汉语中间接拒绝言语行为的转喻多域操作探讨

【摘要】：自言语行为诞生以来,拒绝言语行为的研究已引起语言学家的普遍关注,至今已有20多年的历史。拒绝言语行为是日常生活中普遍发生的一种语言现象,它是对话者对请求、建议、邀请和提供等做出的一种“不合作性”选择,即传递与对方期待相反的信息。为了不伤及对方的面子,说话者通常会采用一些间接拒绝的策略来维持双方之间的和谐关系。国内外的拒绝言语行为研究大都侧重于研究拒绝语用策略和拒绝文化对比。 Panther和Thornburg (1998)指出这些传统的语用推理理论未能满意地解释为什么听话人能够毫不费力便理解说话人的意图这一事实。同时,这些理论没有系统地描述间接言语行为理解过程中涉及到的推理模式和认知操作过程。近些年来,也有研究从礼貌问题、原型理论、心理顺应性等视角出发来探讨间接拒绝言语行为,但鲜少有研究对其思维机制进行分析。随着认知语言学的发展,越来越多的认知语言学家认为应从认知的角度出发来研究间接言语行为,有些认知语言学家(如PantherThornburg,1997; MendozaOtal,2002,等)提出间接言语行为的产生和理解都存在转喻思维。然而,用转喻理论来解释间接言语行为的研究大都集中在指令类、承诺类和表达类中进行,并未对其它言语行为如间接拒绝言语行为进行深入探讨。另外,这些研究主要论证了间接言语行为可以用转喻思维做出解释,却并未对间接言语行为中转喻操作的具体情况进行分析。基于Panther和Thornburg的场境理论以及Mendoza和Otal的矩阵域观,本文试从认知的角度出发对间接拒绝言语行为中的转喻思维做出解释,探讨现代汉语中间接拒绝言语行为转喻操作的具体过程。本文选取中国现代话剧中的一些对话并对其进行分析,以期论证间接拒绝言语行为的转喻本质。通过分析得出以下结论：1)现代汉语中间接拒绝言语行为的转喻操作通常是多域操作,并且具有多样性；2)语境对间接拒绝言语行为的确定及其转喻所指都具有重要的影响；3)认知背景、现时语境和个人语用因素都会影响其转喻操作；4)多话轮的间接拒绝言语行为中通常存在两种转喻链。
