弗莱文学发展观的美学研究

【摘要】:诺斯洛普·弗莱,这位20世纪最引人注目的文学批评家从文学作品反复出现的叙事结构与意象中发现了文学循环发展的规律,探索到其中隐藏的动因,揭示出文学的发展是沿着一个环行轨道运行。在世界文学漫长的发展历程中,文学作品在创作的主题和意象等许多方面都存在着自身置换变形与回归的现象。文学的循环过程不仅具有独创性与模仿性,还具有自动化的倾向,也就是说文学循环可以脱离主体创造自动发展。弗莱从生命和自然界的循环中得到启示,将文学的演变看成是类似自然界盛衰更迭的过程。弗莱的文学循环发展论最终使其全部理论成为一个有机整体,他以广义的视角来审视人类的文化和思想,认为文学的演变具有节奏性,可以从自然界的循环中派生并最终产生出四种文学类型。弗莱在强调文学发展具有节奏性、文学现象更迭具有必然性的同时,还强调了文学的发展是按照规定模式发展,具有固定性。文学所具备的这些性质统一构成文学发展的“矛盾性”,弗莱将这种带有“矛盾性”的文学循环方式归根结底解释为文学原型的变形与回归,以及文学本身自觉自在自动的发展循环的结果,借以重新审视文学与神话,,文学与宗教,文学与意识形态的关系。 在当代美学研究视野中,文学演变发展的形式十分常见,弗莱把文学循环发展作为审视文学艺术发生、发展的一个重要视角,试图发现文学作品中反复出现的意象、叙事结构、人物类型背后的基本形式,同时将这些形式当成评论文学作品、衡量作品意义的一个重要标志。这样的视角,对于世界文学的理性分析和归纳,对于文学艺术发展方向的总结和概括,都具有独特的文化意蕴和美学价值。弗莱对于文学循环发展规律的解释具有独创性,为文学批评与文艺理论研究的发展提供了一种新视野,弗莱所提出的“文学循环论”与“原型批评美学”在今日仍然对于文学、美学的研究具有启发性和研究意义。本文希望以美学视角来重新审视弗莱所建构的文学发展观。
[Abstract]:Northrop Frye, the most remarkable literary critic in the 20th century, discovered the law of the development of literary cycle from the narrative structure and image of literary works, and explored the hidden causes. It is revealed that the development of literature is running along a circular track. In the long course of the development of world literature, there is a phenomenon of self-displacement and regression in many aspects of literary works, such as the theme and image of creation. The cycle process of literature not only has originality and imitation, but also has the tendency of automation, that is to say, literary cycle can develop automatically without subject creation. Frey was inspired by the cycle of life and nature and regarded the evolution of literature as a process similar to the rise and fall of nature. Frey's theory of the development of literary cycle finally makes all his theories become an organic whole. He examines human culture and thought from a broad perspective and thinks that the evolution of literature is rhythmic. Four literary types can be derived from the cycle of nature. While emphasizing the rhythm of literary development and the inevitability of literary change, Fry also emphasizes that the development of literature is developed according to the prescribed mode and has a fixed character. The unity of these properties of literature constitutes the "contradiction" of literary development, which Frye interpreted in the final analysis as the transformation and return of literary archetypes. And the result of the self-conscious and automatic development cycle of literature itself, so as to re-examine the relationship between literature and mythology, literature and religion, literature and ideology. In the field of contemporary aesthetic research, the forms of literary evolution and development are very common. Fry regards the development of literature cycle as an important angle of view to examine the occurrence and development of literature and art, and tries to find the image and narrative structure that appear repeatedly in literary works. At the same time, it regards these forms as an important symbol to evaluate literary works and measure the meaning of works. This angle of view has unique cultural implication and aesthetic value for the rational analysis and induction of world literature and for the summary and generalization of the development direction of literature and art. Frye's explanation of the law of literary cycle development is original and provides a new vision for the development of literary criticism and literary theory. Fry's "Literary cycle Theory" and "archetypal critical Aesthetics" are still for literature today. The study of aesthetics is instructive and significant. This article hopes to re-examine Fry's literary development concept from an aesthetic perspective.
