从翻译转换视角看《生死疲劳》中“把”字句的翻译

【摘要】：把字句是现代汉语中常见的一个基本句式,也是最具特色的语法现象之一。它在现代汉语中使用频率高,结构比较复杂,深受语言学者的关注。虽然前人在把字句的句法、语义和语用等方面研究颇丰,但把字句的翻译研究较少,另外,英语中没有一种固定的句型与把字句相对应,把字句的英译过程中必然存在不同层次的语言转换,而翻译转换理论旨在系统的分类描写源语与译语之间的语言变化。本文的把字句及其翻译研究是以中国当代长篇小说《生死疲劳》以及葛浩文翻译的英文版本为研究对象,旨在分析其中把字句及其英语翻译,发现把字句及其英语表达式之间的翻译转换,并尝试分析出现转换的原因。首先,本文将小说中的把字句统计出来,并依据前人对把字句的句法研究和小说中把字句的特点,将把字句分成了十类;然后,本文结合卡特福特的翻译转换理论框架,分析把字句在各层面上的翻译转换,由于结构转换是最为常用的一个类型转换之一,且结构转换会随之带动其他转换,论文将重点放在把字句的结构转换分析上。据统计,小说《生死疲劳》中有936个把字句。把字句的基本结构为“把+宾+动”,在这个基础上,把字句还可以加入定语,状语,补语等成分。通过分析研究发现,英文句式SVO和"SVO+PP."是把字句翻译的常用句式,当然,在不同的语境中,把字句的翻译句式中也会有层次转换和类型转换。具体在不同的语境和语言变体中,把字句更是有多种表达,也可被省略或融入上下文而不单独译出。翻译不仅要考虑语言间的差异,也要非语言因素。在非语言因素中,文章讨论了语境和语言变体对翻译的影响,希望对以后的把字句翻译研究有所帮助。
[Abstract]:Ba-sentence is a basic sentence pattern and one of the most characteristic grammatical phenomena in modern Chinese. It is widely used in modern Chinese because of its high frequency and complex structure. Although there have been a lot of studies on the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects of the sentences, there are few studies on the translation of the sentences. In addition, there is not a fixed sentence pattern corresponding to the Ba sentence in the English language. In the process of translating sentences into English, there must be different levels of language transformation, and the translation theory aims to systematically describe the linguistic changes between the source language and the target language. The present study focuses on the contemporary Chinese novel "Life and death fatigue" and the English version of GE Haowen's translation, in order to analyze the translation of Ba sentence and its English translation. Find out the translation conversion between Ba sentence and its English expression, and try to analyze the reason of the transformation. First of all, according to the syntactic study of Ba sentence and the characteristics of the novel, the thesis classifies the sentence into ten categories. Then, this paper combines Carter Ford's translation theory frame. Because the structural transformation is one of the most commonly used types of transformation, and the structural transformation will lead to other transformations, this paper focuses on the analysis of the structural transformation of words and sentences. According to statistics, there are 936 sentences in the novel Life and death fatigue. On the basis of the basic structure of the sentence, the attributive, adverbial, complement and so on can be added to the sentence. It is found that SVO and "SVO PP." Of course, in different contexts, there will also be hierarchical conversion and type conversion in the translation of Ba sentence. In different contexts and linguistic variants, words and expressions can also be omitted or incorporated into the context without being translated separately. Translation should not only consider the differences between languages, but also non-linguistic factors. Among the non-linguistic factors, the paper discusses the influence of context and language variants on translation, hoping to be helpful to the later studies on the translation of Ba sentence.
