目的论视角下的《三体》英译研究

【摘要】：《三体》是一部有中国特色的科幻小说。以目的论为指导进行《三体》英译研究旨在分析译者翻译策略是否符合目的论及其在文学翻译中的实践意义。《三体》英译的目的为何,译者的翻译策略是否符合目的论,译者在翻译过程中如何处理目的论三原则,即目的原则、连贯原则,忠实原则之间关系,以上问题构成翻译研究的主线。在具体研究过程中,具有《三体》特色的内容是重要的分析对象。《三体》特色内容包含:小说的文革背景,小说对科技术语的运用,对科幻场景的描写,对中国历史人物重新塑造,对人物形象的鲜明刻画。以翻译目的论为指导研究上述内容的英译需要大量翻译实例,需要研究译者的翻译策略,并且分析这些策略如何运用和体现目的论。《三体》的英译符合翻译目的论,可以为其他文学翻译实践提供借鉴。
