突显理论视域下的诗歌省略研究

【摘要】:省略是一种普遍的语言现象,更是诗歌艺术语言的一大特点。古往今来,国内外学者从不同的视角对省略进行了大量的研究,且多从句法和修辞等角度来展开,特别缺乏从认知的角度对诗歌语言中省略现象的研究。随着认知语言学的发展,认知语言学家提出多种理论对语言进行认知解读,尤以认知诗学为甚,为诗歌等文学文本研究提供了新的理论支撑。认知诗学作为一门新兴的交叉学科,是基于认知科学、认知语言学、认知心理学以及其它相关学科的理论基础上发展起来的,并试图把这些理论模型应用于文学文本的研究,诗歌具备用认知语言学相关原理进行分析的语篇特点。 文章基于“突显原理”,结合其主要参数即视角,运用反映突显的主要运作机制“图形--背景”,对诗歌中的省略现象进行认知分析。文章指出,省略作为背景,与突显是相辅相成的统一体。突显与省略看似一对矛盾体,其实,二者互为补充,是不可分割的统一体。人们在观察同一事物时,由于视角不同,在认知辖域中选择的突显对象也不同,继而产生不同的认知过程和结果,突显的是同一事物的不同侧面。正是因为事物的某一方面因视角的选择而得以突显,其它方面则处于隐伏的状态被省略,省略的部分是背景,突显的部分是图形,也就是呈现在读者面前的诗歌语言。 文章认为,省略不但赋予诗人创作的自由,激发了读者的想象力,且拓宽了诗意联想的空间。诗歌艺术语言简洁凝练、意象多变、思绪跳跃,读者只有通过丰富的想象力才能调动较多的认知运作,填补缺省信息,领略诗歌的语言魅力。读者从不同的视角来解读同一首诗歌就会产生不同的认知效果,突显不同的侧面,从而多方面解读诗歌。 文章主张,运用认知语言学中的突显理论,能够分析省略在诗歌意境形成过程中所产生的作用,为诗歌的研究和赏析提供一个新的视角。此外,突显理论还能够为诗歌文本的转换提供一条新的路径,在此过程中,通过对诗歌中意象突显程度的分析,确定图形-背景关系,使译者更好地展现原文本的意境,以便选择恰当的目标语传递原诗信息,在意义与形式上二者更好地忠实于原诗。
[Abstract]:Ellipsis is a common language phenomenon, is a major characteristic of art language poetry. From ancient to modern times, the domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a lot of research on ellipsis from different perspectives, and from the angle of syntax and rhetoric to expand, especially lack of research on Ellipsis in poetic language from a cognitive perspective with the development. In cognitive linguistics, cognitive linguists put forward many theories of cognitive interpretation of language, especially the cognitive poetics which, provides a new theoretical support for the study of poetry and other literary texts. Cognitive poetics is a new interdiscipline, is based on cognitive science, cognitive linguistics, cognitive psychology and other disciplines related theory basis together, and try to apply these theoretical models to study the literary text, poetry with discourse features analysis by cognitive linguistics related principle.
Based on the principle of prominence ", that is the perspective of the main parameters, the main operating mechanism of prominence" graphics background, cognitive analysis of ellipsis in poetry. The article points out that ellipsis as background, which is complementary with prominence. Highlights of ellipsis and seemingly a contradiction, in fact, two complement each other, is an indivisible unity. When people observe the same object, because of the different angles in cognitive domain selection highlight different objects, and then have different cognitive processes and results, highlighted the different aspects of the same thing. It is because of one thing because of the choice of perspective to highlight other aspects of a concealed state is omitted, the omitted part is the background, highlighting the part graphics, is also presented to readers of the language of poetry.
The article thinks, ellipsis not only gives poets freedom, stimulate the imagination of the reader, and broaden the poetic Lenovo space. The poetic language is concise, image changes, mind jumping, readers only through rich imagination can arouse cognitive operation more, fill the default information, enjoy the charm of language poetry from different readers. From the perspective of interpretation of the same poem will have different cognitive effects, highlighting different aspects, and aspects of the interpretation of poetry.
This paper argues that using the prominence theory of cognitive linguistics to analyze the role of ellipsis in the process of formation in the poems, and provides a new perspective for the study and appreciation of poetry. In addition, the theory can also highlight for the conversion of the poetry text provides a new path, in this process, through the analysis of the the degree of image highlights in poetry, determine the relationship between figure and background, the translator's better understanding of the original text to artistic conception, choose appropriate target language transfer information in the original poem, meaning and form on the two more faithful to the original poem.
