【摘要】:本文论述了功能对等理论在中译本《赴宴者》中的应用。《赴宴者》中译本于2009年11月在中国大陆发行。《赴宴者》是现最具影响力的旅美华人作家之一严歌苓首部用英文创作的小说。《赴宴者》中译本由台湾教授郭强生翻译。通过把华人创作的以中国为背景的英文作品翻译成中文,这本身就是一个反复的过程,在其过程中,因翻译造成的文化流失不可避免。作者试图通过对功能对等理论的分析,论述《赴宴者》中译本是如何达到与原文的功能对等的。 功能对等理论由美国学者、翻译家尤金·奈达最先提出。根据此理论,翻译不应该只求文字表面的死板对应,同时要达到在语言形式和文化内涵上的功能对等。本文涉及到功能对等理论中关于源语文章的语境,译语读者的反应以及译语语言和文化的一致性三条原则。在本文中,将会从以下三个方面来论及《赴宴者》中译本:意义对等、风格对等和文化对等。功能对等理论在指导翻译实践中起到了很重要的作用,把此理论应用于《赴宴者》中译本来进行研究是可行的。 为了更清楚地陈述此论文,现把提纲列出如下:文章共分为五部分,第一部分为引语部分,对全文作整体简要概述及介绍;第二部分为第一章,介绍功能对等理论,包括两部分内容:尤金·奈达以及他的功能对等理论和功能对等理论的三个原则;第三部分为第二章,介绍《赴宴者》的原著以及其中译本,从原著、作者及其写作风格、中译本等方面论述。第四部分第三章,分别从意义对等、风格对等和文化对等三个方面逐一论述功能对等理论在《赴宴者》中译本中的应用。第五部分为论文的结论部分。
[Abstract]:This paper discusses the application of functional equivalence theory in the Chinese translation of "the Dinner". The Chinese version of "the Dinner" was released in November 2009 in mainland China. The Dinner is one of the most influential Chinese writers in the United States. A novel written in English. The Chinese translation of the banquet was translated by Guo Qiangsheng, a professor from Taiwan. This is a repeated process in which the cultural loss caused by translation is inevitable. The author tries to analyze the functional equivalence theory and discuss how the Chinese version of "the Dinner to dinner" can achieve functional equivalence with the original text. Functional equivalence was first put forward by Eugene Nida, an American scholar and translator. According to this theory, translation should not be based on the rigid correspondence of the surface of the text. At the same time, it is necessary to achieve functional equivalence in terms of language form and cultural connotations. This paper deals with the three principles of functional equivalence in relation to the context of the source text, the response of the target language readers, and the consistency between the target language and the culture. The Chinese version of Dinner is discussed in the following three aspects: meaning equivalence, style equivalence and cultural equivalence. Functional equivalence plays an important role in guiding translation practice. It is feasible to apply this theory to the Chinese translation of Dinner. In order to present this thesis more clearly, the outline is listed as follows: the first part is the introduction part, the first part is the introduction, the second part is the first chapter, which introduces the theory of functional equivalence. There are two parts: Eugene Nida and his three principles of functional equivalence and functional equivalence; the third chapter is the second chapter, which introduces the original book and its Chinese translation, from the original, the author and the writing style. The third chapter of part 4th discusses the application of functional equivalence theory in the Chinese version of Dinner from three aspects: meaning equivalence style equivalence and cultural equivalence. Part 5th is the conclusion of the thesis.
