异化翻译法:王维诗歌意象翻译之个案研究

【摘要】:本文在异化翻译理论和诗歌意象理论的基础上,通过对王维诗歌意象进行分析,指出在王维诗歌意象翻译中尽可能地运用异化翻译,不改变源语和目的语在语言和文化上的不同之处,以保留王维诗歌中的原味与诗境。 异化与归化是翻译中一对重要的概念和处理翻译中文化因素的两个具体方法。异化翻译以源语文化为归宿,提倡在翻译中保留原文的形式,尽量再现原文的色彩,更好地传达源语文化的异国情调。归化翻译以目的语文化为归宿,主张在翻译中运用目的语文化易于接受的表达方式,使译文更适合目的语读者。诗歌意象是经过诗人审美经验的筛选,融入了诗人主观情意的客观物象,是主观的“意”(情感)和客观的“象”(景物)的有机融合,在诗歌创作和鉴赏中具有非常重要的作用。本文通过对异化与归化的对比分析,以及对刘重德,庞德和翁显良有关意象翻译理论的探讨,指出在诗歌意象翻译中应尽量运用异化翻译,以便更好地传达诗歌意象所蕴涵的文化内涵,使译文读者更好地了解异国人民的思想感情和生活内容,感受异域文化,领略异域风情。 王维是唐代山水田园诗派的杰出代表,也是与李白,杜甫齐名的三大诗人之一。王维的诗作清新飘逸,神韵悠然,主要有三大特色:1、以山水田园诗为主。2、诗画一体。3、以禅入诗。王维诗歌意象丰富,内涵深远。本文在历代诗评家对王维诗歌评论的基础上,通过对王维诗歌意象进行详尽的分析,将王维诗歌意象分为三大类:1、图画意象。2、声乐意象。3、象征意象。针对这三大类意象,本文分别对含有各类意象的王维诗歌英译进行对比分析,探讨在各英译中是否运用以及如何运用异化翻译,从而提出在王维诗歌意象的翻译中应尽量运用异化翻译以保留原诗中意象的审美特征和文化内涵,使译文读者更好地体味王维诗歌的韵味及诗境,使诗歌翻译收到更好的效果。
[Abstract]:Based on the theory of alienation translation and the theory of poetic image, this paper analyzes Wang Wei's poetic image and points out that alienation translation is used as far as possible in the translation of Wang Wei's poetry image. It does not change the linguistic and cultural differences between the source language and the target language in order to preserve the original taste and poetic conception of Wang Wei's poetry. Alienation and domestication are a pair of important concepts in translation and two concrete methods to deal with cultural factors in translation. Foreignization translation takes the source language as its destination and advocates retaining the form of the original text in translation and trying to reproduce the color of the original text as much as possible. In order to better convey the exotic tone of the source language culture, the domesticated translation takes the target language as its destination and advocates the use of the acceptable expression of the target language culture in the translation. Making the translation more suitable for the readers of the target language. The poetic image is an objective object which is selected by the poet's aesthetic experience and integrates the poet's subjective feelings, which is an organic fusion of the subjective "emotion" and the objective "image" (scenery). It plays a very important role in poetry creation and appreciation. This paper makes a comparative analysis of alienation and domestication, and probes into Liu Chongde, pound and Weng Xianliang's theory of image translation. It is pointed out that alienation translation should be used as far as possible in the translation of poetic images in order to better convey the cultural connotations contained in the poetic images, so that the target readers can better understand the thoughts, feelings and life contents of foreign peoples, and feel foreign cultures. Experience exotic customs. Wang Wei is an outstanding representative of the landscape and pastoral poetry school of the Tang Dynasty, and one of the three poets of the same reputation as Li Bai and du Fu. There are three major features: 1: 1, with landscape pastoral poetry as the main .2, poetry and painting as an integral whole, and Zen poetry. Wang Wei's poems have rich images and profound connotations. Through the detailed analysis of Wang Wei's poetic images, this paper classifies the poetic images of Wang Wei into three categories: 1: 1, 2: 1, 2, 3, and 3, respectively. In the light of these three kinds of images, This paper makes a comparative analysis of the English translation of Wang Wei's poems, which contains various images, and discusses whether and how to use foreignization in translation. In order to preserve the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotations of the images in the original poem, the author suggests that the translation of Wang Wei's poetic images should be used as far as possible, so that the target readers can better appreciate the charm and poetic conception of Wang Wei's poems, and make the translation of poems more effective.
