【摘要】： 本文从语用学的角度出发，主要研究了语码转换在文学作品中的社会功能。本课题建立在社会语言学、国内外学者对语码转换的概念、起源等课题，以及从宏观社会语言学和微观的语篇、对话角度探讨的语码转换的语用学研究成果上。但其中的研究成果大多与口语语码转换关系密切，而涉及书面语方面的乏善可陈。在此基础上，作者分析了文学作品中语码转换（中英）的社会功能、原因及所起到的效果等，以期从不同的向度，不同的语言载体拓宽研究视野，加深对语码转换的了解。研究中作者随机抽取了百余篇包含语码转换（中英）的文章，文章内容涵盖广泛，包括网络方面，文艺方面，社会方面，生活方面等；文章的体裁多样，包括小说、散文、杂文、说明文等。据研究，文学作品中语码转换的社会功能虽与口语语码转换有相近之处，但由于书面语与读者时间的交流是异步而非同步，这就使其具有了一些特殊的社会功能。另外通过研究作者发现，现今对语码转换的研究大都限制在语码转换的语言学研究，，作者认为对语码转换的研究应转移至研究语码转换给听者或读者带来的反应、产生的影响、达到的效果等，从而决定从语言文化方面是否要推广或限制语码转换的使用，以达到更好的沟通交流效果。
