林语堂“生活艺术论”研究

【摘要】: 本文将林语堂置于二十世纪中国现代美学的情境中,主要从知识社会学、价值论、本体论的角度对他的“生活艺术论”进行深入研究。在中西文化碰撞、融合的现实中,林语堂面临着文化选择的强大压力,陷入了生存的困境。“生活艺术论”作为一种独特的话语体系,是林语堂对生存困境进行诗意反抗的表达方式。 本文主要分三部分:“生活艺术论”的形成之基点、内涵及当代意义。“生活艺术论”是林语堂文化观、人生观和审美观的集中体现。它是通过“文化”这一平台,揭示纷繁人生真相的一种人生哲学。它包含着三个层次,即分别在人与自然、人与社会、人与自我三层关系上形成自己的美学内涵。具体地说,就是文化与自然的和谐、幽默与近情的人生态度、“真”我人格的自觉追求,最终实现人生与艺术合二为一的境界。“生活艺术论”就是一种注重人生体验的生活态度,其核心在于以审美的眼光对待人生。本文重点阐述林语堂艺术化人生的实现方式,即一方面通过对中、西文化的解读,特别是通过对中国文化的“回归”来开辟自己的“言说”空间,另一方面则又通过对文化的超越,实现审美生存的可能。 “生活艺术论”展示了林语堂在特殊的现实语境中所具有的情感状态和人文精神。林语堂的可贵之处是能脱离西方现代美学感性与理性的分野,寻找到在文化混融状态中的生存感觉,寻找到一种主体性,寻找到美学的情感支撑。作为一名现代知识分子,林语堂既秉承了中国“审美功利主义”传统,又保持了开放的姿态,吸纳了美学的现代精神,实现了审美跨文化的可能。因此,在今天现代化和全球化背景下,,对林语堂及其美学思想进行研究、评价,将具有十分重要的现实意义。
[Abstract]:In this paper, Lin Yutang is placed in the context of modern Chinese aesthetics in the 20th century, and his "Art of Life" is deeply studied from the angles of sociology of knowledge, theory of value and ontology. In the reality of the collision and integration of Chinese and Western cultures, Lin Yutang is faced with the strong pressure of cultural choice and falls into the dilemma of survival. The Art of Life, as a unique discourse system, is the expression of Lin Yutang's poetic resistance to the plight of existence. This paper is divided into three parts: the basic point, connotation and contemporary significance of the Art of Life. The Art of Life is a concentrated embodiment of Lin Yutang's view of culture, life and aesthetics. It is a philosophy of life which reveals the truth of life through the platform of culture. It contains three levels, that is, in the relationship between man and nature, between man and society, and between man and self to form their own aesthetic connotations. Specifically, it is the harmony between culture and nature, the humor and the close feeling of life attitude, the conscious pursuit of "true" my personality, and the ultimate realization of the realm of life and art being one. Life Art Theory is a kind of life attitude which pays attention to life experience, and its core is to treat life aesthetically. This paper focuses on the realization of Lin Yutang's artistic life, that is, on the one hand, through the interpretation of Chinese and Western culture, especially through the "return" of Chinese culture to open up their own "speech" space. On the other hand, through the transcendence of culture, the possibility of aesthetic existence is realized. The Art of Life shows Lin Yutang's emotional state and humanistic spirit in the special realistic context. The valuable point of Lin Yutang is that it can break away from the division between sensibility and reason of modern western aesthetics, find the feeling of existence in the state of cultural blending, find a kind of subjectivity and find the emotional support of aesthetics. As a modern intellectual, Lin Yutang not only inherits the tradition of "aesthetic utilitarianism" in China, but also maintains an open attitude, absorbs the modern spirit of aesthetics and realizes the possibility of aesthetic cross-culture. Therefore, under the background of modernization and globalization, it is of great practical significance to study and evaluate Lin Yutang and its aesthetic thoughts.
