[Abstract]:Modern novel translation is one of the most remarkable translation phenomena in the history of Chinese translation, which has a considerable influence on the formation of modern Chinese literature and civilization. It is supposed to be the object of study by translators. Unfortunately, it has been neglected since the New Literary Revolution until the end of 1980's. The reason is that modern translation works are incompatible with the norms of modern translation studies, one is popular and entertaining works, the other is full of unfaithful translation. Therefore, from the modern perspective of the original works and classical works, the research is indeed of little value. However, the influence of cultural and social factors on the translator and his translation process is often neglected. This kind of influence makes it impossible for the translator to convey all kinds of information in the original text to the target language readers, so the information in the translation must be selected or changed. This is especially true of China in the early stages of cultural exchange. In addition, most readers equate the translation with the original reading. Most importantly, it is the translation, a text that rewrites the original (rewriting), that has an impact on the audience and culture. Therefore, we might as well study the translation text from the perspective of the language culture, and explore the cultural manipulation (manipulation). Embodied behind the change of the original text. This is the starting point of this paper. There are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter gives a brief description of modern novel translation and its research, and introduces the new trends of foreign translation studies and some relevant theories. In the second chapter, the author puts forward the suitable period of modern division. Chapter three and chapter four respectively describe and analyze the four characteristics of modern novel translation, that is, the prosperity of novel translation. The two functions of translating novels (political propaganda and entertaining), the popular non-literal translation techniques and classical Chinese as opposed to white The advantage of words. In addition, the fourth chapter analyzes the background of the translation phenomenon. The fifth chapter summarizes the full text and restates the starting point of this paper.
