《马桥词典》中语言风格变异在翻译中的艺术再现研究

【摘要】:翻译研究不断从临近学科吸取养分以拓展自身的研究领域,而翻译与文学文体学的联姻却为翻译研究开辟了一片新的天地。文学翻译与文学文体学有着天然、本质的联系。文学文体学强调实际运用中的语言选择,将文体及其产生的效果作为研究对象,重点分析文学作品中有助于表达主题意义和美学价值的独特的语言艺术形式,并探讨它们的文学价值。而当前翻译理论与实践研究尤其是小说翻译似乎过于强调对原作所指内容的传译,相对而言,对原作所体现的主题意义和美学功能的语言艺术形式的传译则给予较少的关注或讨论,这将极大地影响文学作品的整体翻译质量。文学文体学正是通过对文学作品中语言变异、前景化表达等语言特征的客观、系统的分析,从而避免主观、直觉式的印象批评以阐释文本的主题意义以及美学价值,文学翻译研究引入文体学无疑能为文学翻译实践及其批评提供极其科学的方法。 本文在文学文体学的分析框架下对我国当代著名作家韩少功的《马桥词典》及其英文译本进行文体分析,该小说的最大特征就是语言创新,作者通过系统地运用一些偏离常规的语言艺术形式使其文体风格独树一帜。因此,本研究深入探讨该小说语言风格变异、前景化表达等较强文学性的艺术表现形式在译本中的艺术再现,重点从音韵、词汇、句法、修辞和篇章层面对其风格变异进行宏观和微观探讨,采用比较分析、定性和例证的研究方法,从而论证译者在翻译过程中是否完整地传译了原作的思想内容,原作的语言变异艺术效果及整体风格艺术是否得到了保留和再现。 本文结论认为,文学文体学与翻译研究的结合能够科学地指导这部小说语言风格变异的翻译,译本忠实再现了原作中的风格变异,原作的主题意义、美学价值以及文学性均得到了很好的保留。同时,本文通过此研究总结了再现风格变异的翻译策略,主要有直译、动态仿译、类比式译法以及重构法,,也提出了再现的原则,即可接受性和等效,为翻译实践提供借鉴和参考。最后,本文指出现当代小说翻译中对原作语言风格变异的艺术再现这一课题值得进一步探索和研究。
[Abstract]:Translation studies continue to absorb nutrients from neighboring disciplines in order to expand their own research fields, while the marriage of translation and literary stylistics opens up a new world for translation studies. Literary translation has a natural and essential relationship with literary stylistics. Literary stylistics emphasizes the choice of language in practice, takes the style and its effect as the object of study, and focuses on the analysis of the unique linguistic art forms in literary works which are helpful to express the thematic meaning and aesthetic value. And discusses their literary value. However, the current study of translation theory and practice, especially the translation of novels, seems to place too much emphasis on the interpretation of the contents of the original works. Less attention or discussion will be given to the interpretation of the artistic form of language which embodies the thematic meaning and aesthetic function of the original work, which will greatly affect the overall translation quality of literary works. Literary stylistics, through the objective and systematic analysis of linguistic features such as language variation and foreground expression in literary works, can avoid subjective and intuitive impression criticism in order to explain the thematic significance and aesthetic value of the text. The introduction of stylistics into literary translation studies can undoubtedly provide a scientific method for literary translation practice and criticism. Under the framework of literary stylistics, this paper makes a stylistic analysis of the famous contemporary writer Han Shaogong's Maqiao Dictionary and its English translation. The greatest feature of the novel is language innovation. The author makes his stylistic style unique by systematically using some language art forms which deviate from the conventional language. Therefore, this study probes into the artistic representation of the literary forms of the novel, such as variation of language style, foregrounding expression and so on, focusing on phonological, lexical, syntactic, and so on. At the rhetorical and textual levels, the author makes a macroscopic and microcosmic study of its style variation, and uses comparative analysis, qualitative analysis and illustrative methods to demonstrate whether the translator has fully interpreted the original content in the process of translation. Whether the original language variation art effect and overall style art has been preserved and reproduced. This paper concludes that the combination of literary stylistics and translation studies can scientifically guide the translation of the language style variation of the novel, and the translation faithfully reproduces the style variation and the thematic significance of the original novel. Aesthetic value and literariness are well preserved. At the same time, this paper summarizes the translation strategies of reproduction style variation, including literal translation, dynamic translation, analogical translation and reconstruction, and puts forward the principle of reproduction, namely, acceptability and equivalence. To provide reference for translation practice. Finally, this paper points out that the artistic reproduction of the variation of the original language style in modern and contemporary novel translation is worthy of further exploration and study.
