从认知心理学角度论文学翻译中的译者创造性

【摘要】：长久以来,不同学者对于译者创造性总是持有不同的观点。而且已有的相关研究更多是从语言或文化层面上探讨译者对原文做出了何种“创造”,即他们关注的是“创造性译文”,而不是译者的创造性。针对这一点,本文作者首先从认知心理学的角度提出翻译中的译者创造性是不可避免的,也是必不可少的;然后指出从语言和文化层面上研究“创造性译文”,只是关注到了创造性翻译的最终结果,是浮于译者创造性外围的外在表象,未能解释译者创造性的内涵以及它对创造性译文的决定作用。接下来,本文作者指出由于是译者在翻译过程中决定了对原文的哪些内容进行创造性翻译,以及如何进行创造等根本问题,因此,研究译者的创造性必须把创造性译文和译者的翻译过程结合起来。因此,本文作者从认知心理学的角度出发,研究译者的认知因素在翻译过程中对创造性翻译的影响和决定性作用。 本文作者选择文学翻译中的译者创造性进行研究,一方面是因为在文学翻译中,创造性翻译是不可避免的,也是必不可少的;另一方面是因为文学作品自身的特点为译者提供了巨大的创造空间,因此最能够体现译者的创造性。本文作者提出译者的创造性只有在翻译过程中才能得以发挥,并受到译者认知因素的影响。因此只有从认知心理学的角度研究文学翻译的过程,才能够找出创造性译文产生的过程和决定该译文产生的认知因素,才能从根本上了解译者创造性是如何发挥作用的。只有这样,我们才能对译者创造性有一个全面的认识。
