中美公司简介体裁的跨文化研究

【摘要】:近些年来,越来越多的海外公司到中国进行投资,很多中国公司也把目光投向了海外市场。在这样的背景下,企业网站为企业之间提供跨文化交际的平台,而企业网站中的公司简介对促进海内外业务发展起着尤为重要的作用。 为了更好的理解企业网站中的公司简介这种体裁,本文选取了500强企业网站中的20篇中国公司简介和20篇美国公司简介作为研究语料,并主要从以下三个问题出发:第一,中美公司简介的交际目的和体裁结构是怎样的?第二,中美公司简介之间的相同点和不同点是什么?不同点是否受了文化因素的影响?第三,如何撰写有效的中英文公司简介?本文以Bhatia和Swales的体裁分析方法为理论模式,从跨文化的角度对两组语料进行了体裁对比分析,阐述了它们之间的相同点与不同点,并结合Hofstede价值观维度理论中的个人主义、集体主义、权力距离、不确定因素的回避程度及Edward Hall的高低语境理论来探讨其差异形成的社会文化原因。通过对语料的分析比较,研究结果显示如下:首先,中美公司简介属于同一种体裁,其交际目的都是为了推销产品和树立良好的企业形象。其次,中美公司简介享有相似的体裁结构。它们都被划分为六个语步,但是它们对个别语步的使用偏好和实现某些语步的方法是有所不同的,这种差异主要是受文化因素的影响。最后,本研究总结出一些语用策略,有助于撰写高效的中英公司简介。 本文旨在通过上述分析和研究,发现公司简介这种体裁的规律性,尤其是在不同文化背景下这种体裁的撰写特征。希望该研究能对该种体裁的写作、翻译以及教学有所帮助,对日后类似体裁的研究有所启发。
[Abstract]:In recent years, more and more overseas companies have invested in China. In this context, corporate websites provide a platform for cross-cultural communication between enterprises, and the company profiles in corporate websites play a particularly important role in promoting the development of business at home and abroad. In order to better understand the genre of corporate profiles in corporate websites, this paper selects 20 profiles of Chinese companies and 20 profiles of American companies from top 500 corporate websites as the research corpus, and mainly starts from the following three questions: first, What is the communicative purpose and genre structure of the brief introduction of Chinese and American companies? Second, what are the similarities and differences between the profiles of Chinese and American companies? Are the differences affected by cultural factors? Third, how to write an effective English and Chinese company profile? Taking the genre analysis method of Bhatia and Swales as the theoretical model, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the two groups of corpus from the perspective of cross-culture, expounds the similarities and differences between them, and combines the individualism in the theory of Hofstede value dimension. Collectivism, power distance, the degree of avoidance of uncertain factors and Edward Hall's high and low context theory are used to explore the social and cultural causes of the differences. Through the analysis and comparison of the corpus, the results are as follows: firstly, the brief introduction of Chinese and American companies belongs to the same genre, the purpose of communication is to promote products and establish a good corporate image. Second, Chinese and American company profiles enjoy similar genres. They are all divided into six steps, but their preference for the use of individual steps and the ways to achieve some of them are different, which is mainly influenced by cultural factors. Finally, this study summarizes some pragmatic strategies which are helpful to write an efficient brief introduction to Chinese and English companies. The purpose of this paper is to find out the regularity of this genre through the above analysis and research, especially the writing characteristics of this genre in different cultural backgrounds. It is hoped that this study will be helpful to the writing, translation and teaching of this genre and enlighten the study of similar genres in the future.
