用语域偏离理论来解读中西情景喜剧《老友记》和《爱情公寓》中的言语幽默

【摘要】：幽默在人类社会中无处不在，是一种独特的能力和交际方式。古往今来，已有大量学者从不同角度研究过幽默，，领域涉及语言学、修辞学、美学、哲学、心理学、社会学、跨文化研究和翻译等。语言学角度的研究主要有语篇分析、语用学和认知语言学等。这些领域的研究已经日趋成熟，且取得了丰硕的成果。本文采用系统功能语言学的语域理论，结合其三个变量，即语场、语旨、语式，从语域偏离的角度对比研究中西方情景喜剧中的言语幽默现象。《老友记》是西方情景喜剧的代表作，蕴含着大量独特的“美式幽默”。《爱情公寓》是国内比较成功的情景喜剧之一。两部剧描述的都是生活在都市中的几个年轻人的故事，大量的幽默给人以轻松诙谐之感。本文对其中的言语幽默的生成机制和理解进行了对比分类研究，旨在发现中英文幽默在交际过程中生成机制的异同，以及在不同的语言环境和文化背景下如何更好地去理解并应用幽默。本文采用定量分析和定性分析相结合的研究方法按不同的主题和不同的社会关系分类对比研究《老友记》和《爱情公寓》中的言语幽默。研究的问题是：第一，在中西情景喜剧中，哪种语域偏离类型使用的频率更高。第二，文化情景因素是怎样影响幽默的理解和欣赏的。本文通过一定量的语料分析，研究发现，在中西方情景喜剧中，语域偏离都能产生幽默现象，选择哪一种语域偏离类型取决于具体的情景。不同语言不同文化背景的观众对幽默的理解不同，有时还会出现不能理解幽默的现象。这些文化语境因素包括风俗习惯、历史、信仰和价值观等。本文从语域理论视角对幽默语篇的研究具有一定的理论意义和实践意义。其理论意义在于：通过对比分析《老友记》和《爱情公寓》中的言语幽默，进一步验证了语域理论框架下的言语幽默的生成机制，扩展并丰富了幽默研究的理论。其实践意义在于：通过对幽默生成机制异同的分析和幽默理解空白现象的阐释，使不同语言不同文化背景的人能更好地理解和欣赏幽默，也增强了我们运用幽默来进行交际的能力。
[Abstract]:Humor is ubiquitous in human society, and it is a unique ability and communication way. Since ancient times, a large number of scholars have studied humor from different angles in the fields of linguistics, rhetoric, aesthetics, philosophy, psychology, sociology, cross-cultural studies and translation. Linguistic studies include discourse analysis, pragmatics and cognitive linguistics. The research in these fields has become more and more mature, and has achieved fruitful results. Based on the register theory of systemic functional linguistics and its three variables, namely, field, tenor, and form, this paper makes a contrastive study of verbal humor in Chinese and western sitcoms from the perspective of register deviation. "Friends" is a masterpiece of western sitcom, which contains a lot of unique "American humor". "Love apartment" is one of the most successful sitcoms in China. Both dramas describe the stories of several young people living in the city, with a great deal of humor. This paper makes a comparative study of the generating mechanism and understanding of verbal humor in order to find out the similarities and differences of the generating mechanism of Chinese and English humor in the process of communication. And how to better understand and apply humor in different linguistic and cultural contexts. In this paper, a comparative study of verbal humor in Friends and Love apartment is carried out by means of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis according to different themes and different social relations. The problems are as follows: first, which register deviates more frequently in Chinese and western sitcoms. Second, how cultural situational factors affect the understanding and appreciation of humor. Through a certain amount of corpus analysis, this paper finds that in both Chinese and Western sitcoms, register deviations can produce humor, and the choice of which type of register deviation depends on the specific situation. Audiences with different language and cultural background have different understanding of humor, and sometimes they can't understand humor. These cultural contextual factors include customs, history, beliefs and values. From the perspective of register theory, this thesis has some theoretical and practical significance in the study of humorous texts. The theoretical significance lies in: through the comparative analysis of verbal humor in Friends and Love apartment, it further verifies the generating mechanism of verbal humor under the framework of register theory, and expands and enriches the theory of humor research. The practical significance lies in: through the analysis of the similarities and differences of the generating mechanism of humor and the explanation of the blank phenomenon of humor understanding, people with different languages and different cultural backgrounds can better understand and appreciate humor. It also enhances our ability to use humor to communicate.
