英汉借贷词范畴化对比研究
[Abstract]:Any language is a dynamic open system, and absorbing foreign words is an important way of language development. Loan words are an important part of English and Chinese language systems. Studying loan words from a cognitive perspective can explain the creativity of language and help us understand the way of thinking that human beings make up of loan words and evolve the meaning of loan words. Psychological mechanism and cognitive characteristics. In the second half of the 20th century, some active loan words in English and Chinese were selected as the specific research object, the prototype category theory was taken as the theoretical framework, and the qualitative study was taken as the main research method, which combined induction with deduction. A reasonable explanation is given to the phenomenon of loan words in English and Chinese. This study explains the categorization mode of loan words in English and Chinese, the restrictive mechanism of the categorization mode of loan words in English and Chinese, and the evolution of the meaning of loan words in English and Chinese. This paper also analyzes the similarities and differences of cognitive mechanism and national cultural restriction in the dynamic development of loan words in English and Chinese. This study finds that loan words are the result of the categorization of different social activities. The new category of loan words originates from individual cognitive activities and then becomes a part of the target lexical system through the whole categorization process of the target language users. This process is greatly influenced by people's cognitive choices such as perceptual choice and psychological graphic selection. The change of the meaning of loan word is the change of the category of word meaning, including the change of prototype, the construction of new category and the interaction between the new category and the old category. The change of the meaning of loan words promotes human cognitive behavior and activates the sociocultural knowledge and sociocultural model in people's minds. To some extent, the process of categorization of loan words in English and Chinese is in common. The human mind promotes and limits human potential experience, abstract concepts and imaginary worlds are physical experiences rooted in the real world, and the products of the human mind, even in different socio-cultural environments, are to some extent proportionate, Connected. At the same time, there are distinct differences in the dynamic process of categorization of loan words in English and Chinese. The penetration and influence of English language and culture on Chinese language and culture is much greater than that on English language and culture. The process of categorization of loan words in English and Chinese also reflects the different national thinking patterns caused by the different geographical environment, social history and national cognitive psychology of the two nations.
