《社会、历史背景下的跨文化交际》(第六章)翻译实践报告

【摘要】:21世纪,跨文化交流空前频繁,深入发展,成为人们日常社会生活中的必须,是地球村每一个居民在生活中回避不了的现实。近年来,人们对跨文化交际的研究取得了突破性的进展。因此,译者在导师的用心帮助下选择了翻译《社会、历史背景下的跨文化交际》作为译者的翻译实践任务;此书的作者以批评的态度审视目前跨文化交际研究的众多方法,在综合和批评的基础上,提出一个新的研究视角—辩证法。这本书的内容总体来讲较浅显易懂,适合大众阅读,书中复杂的理论较少,而更多的是社会、历史方面的案例。译者翻译其中的第六章节:语言与跨文化交际。本章综合了社会科学派、解释学派和批判学派对语言的研究。根据纽马克文本类型理论,第六章节主要是信息型文本,正文教人知识,较严谨,而所选案例多是习语、生活故事,较活泼有趣。译者认为在翻译方法上要区别对待正文文本和案例文本,尽最大努力达到原作者想表达的效果。在翻译过程中,译者以尤金·奈达的功能对等翻译理论为主,纽马克的语义翻译和交际翻译理论为辅,详细地分析了翻译实践案例,最后归纳总结了对翻译的领悟以及自己翻译能力的不足。
[Abstract]:In the 21st century, cross-cultural communication is more frequent than ever. It has become a necessity in people's daily social life and is a reality that every inhabitant of the global village can not avoid in their daily life. In recent years, people have made a breakthrough in the study of cross-cultural communication. Therefore, the translator, with the help of his mentor, chooses the translation of "social and historical cross-cultural communication" as the translator's translation practice task. On the basis of synthesis and criticism, a new research perspective-dialectics is put forward. The content of the book is generally easy to understand and suitable for public reading. There are fewer complex theories in the book and more social and historical cases. The sixth chapter: language and cross-cultural communication. This chapter synthesizes the study of language by social science school, interpretive school and critical school. According to Newmark's text type theory, the sixth chapter is mainly information text, the text teaches knowledge, more rigorous, and the selected cases are mostly idioms, life stories, more lively and interesting. The translator thinks that the text and the case text should be treated differently in the translation method, and the author should try his best to achieve the effect that the original author wants to express. In the process of translation, the translator mainly uses Eugene Nida's functional equivalence translation theory, supplemented by Newmark's semantic translation and communicative translation theory, and analyzes the translation practice cases in detail. Finally, the author summarizes the comprehension of translation and the deficiency of his own translation ability.
