口译用户与职业译员对口译质量评估对比的调研报告

【摘要】:口译发展到了今天,已经不单单是学术界所认定的语言信息的转换过程,更多是具有商业特征的社会活动。随着世界各个领域的发展,世界一体化的出现,全球范围内对口译活动的需求量也日益增加,口译活动已经进入了职业化的时代,所以就要有严格的规章制度来衡量口译活动的效果,而前人对口译的评估大多从职业译员本身的经验出发,需要更多了解客户的反馈和需求。该调研报告有两个目的,一是将调研结果呈现给职业译员,他们可以比较清楚看到调研对象作答的异同,从而能够适当地调整口译策略更好满足用户的需求。二是可以将调研结果呈现给高等院校以及MTI学生,便于他们相应地调整教学课程和模式,让MTI学生能够在学校里提高语言能力的同时,了解客户的要求,调整学习策略,全面的提高自己的口译能力和标准,为今后职业译员之路打下最坚实的基础。 鉴于此,笔者设计了该调研报告,旨在更多的了解口译用户对口译质量评估的情况,以及职业译员与口译用户对口译质量评估的差异所在。笔者选择两个群体作为调研对象,他们分别为约60名有三年以上职场经验的职业口译员以及近140名经常雇佣职业口译员的客户,对其采取调查问卷的方式以及适当访谈的形式展开调研,利用数据统计法,将两个群体的作答数据情况统计出来,再将统计的结果用图标,柱状图以及文字的形式展示出来。由于两个群体本身的特点存在差异,对于口译质量评估的着力点自然也存在差异,所以通过调研可以发现两个群体在口译质量评估时的差异反映。 通过数据收集,整理和分析,笔者将调研的问题分为两类,一类是语言层面,另一类是非语言层面上的。从数据分析的情况上可以发现,职业译员和口译用户在语言层面上的质量评估和非语言层面上的质量评估都存在很多差异。差异的表现:语言层面上,口译用户对译员的语法运用,,术语使用等要比译员本身要求更高。而在非语言层面上,口译用户对译员产出声音,译员中立性上要比译员本身的要求更高。这些差异的存在说明客户对译员要求与译员自身的要求侧重点是不同的。因此,职业译员在今后的口译工作当中,要适当地在语言层面上和非语言层面上调整翻译策略,保证翻译质量的前提下,尽量符合口译用户的要求。而MTI学生在平时训练中,要注意要结合着口译市场化中口译用户的要求,全面提高语言层面和非语言层面的技能,为今后口译之路铺平道路。
[Abstract]:Nowadays, interpreting is not only the process of language information conversion, but also the social activity with commercial characteristics. With the development of every field in the world and the emergence of world integration, the demand for interpreting activities in the world is increasing day by day. Interpreting activities have entered the era of professionalization. Therefore, there must be strict rules and regulations to measure the effect of interpreting activities, and most of the previous evaluations of interpreting are based on the experience of professional interpreters, and need to know more about the feedback and needs of clients. The research report has two purposes. One is to present the results to the professional interpreters who can clearly see the similarities and differences of the respondents' responses so that they can adjust the interpretation strategies to better meet the needs of the users. Second, we can present the research results to the universities and the MTI students, so that they can adjust the teaching curriculum and model accordingly, so that the MTI students can improve their language ability in the school, understand the requirements of their clients and adjust their learning strategies. Improve your interpretation skills and standards in an all-round way to lay a solid foundation for future career interpreters. In view of this, the author designed the research report in order to find out more about the evaluation of interpreting quality by interpreters and the differences between professional interpreters and interpreters. The two groups were selected as subjects. They were about 60 professional interpreters with more than three years' working experience and nearly 140 clients who frequently employed professional interpreters. By using the method of questionnaire and proper interview, the paper makes use of the method of data statistics to make statistics of the answer data of the two groups, and then displays the results of the statistics in the form of icon, histogram and text. Since there are differences in the characteristics of the two groups, there are also differences in the focus of interpretation quality assessment. Therefore, the differences between the two groups in the evaluation of interpretation quality can be found by investigation. Through data collection, collation and analysis, the author divides the research questions into two categories, one is linguistic level, the other is non-linguistic level. From the data analysis, it can be found that there are many differences between the quality assessment of professional interpreters and interpretation users at the linguistic level and the quality assessment at the non-linguistic level. At the linguistic level, interpreters' grammatical use and terminology use are more demanding than the interpreters themselves. On the non-linguistic level, the interpreter's neutral demand for the interpreter's voice is higher than that of the interpreter's own. The existence of these differences indicates that the client's requirements for interpreters are different from those for interpreters themselves. Therefore, in the future, professional interpreters should adjust their translation strategies at the linguistic and non-linguistic levels to ensure the quality of translation, and try to meet the needs of the interpreters as much as possible. In normal training, MTI students should pay attention to the needs of interpretation users in the marketization of interpretation, improve their skills at both linguistic and non-linguistic levels, and pave the way for interpretation in the future.
