葛浩文论译者——基于葛浩文讲座与访谈的批评性阐释

【摘要】：被称为中国现当代文学英译首席翻译家的葛浩文对译者有着深刻的体认与思考。应《东吴学术》之邀,葛浩文于2013年10月24日在常熟进行了题为"作者与译者:交相发明又不无脆弱的关系"的演讲,在民族文学、甚至是世界文学生产的大语境下探讨作者与译者的互动关系。基于葛浩文的演讲以及与他本人进行的访谈,并部分地观照其翻译实践,笔者把葛浩文关于译者的基本思想归纳为:译者之"用",即译者价值之所在;译者之"道",即翻译的方法论;译者之"质",即翻译的认识论;译者之"我",即译者的自我认知与定位,这是一切翻译的起点与支点。葛浩文有着为译者"正名"的强烈的责任意识和情怀,其翻译实践、经验总结与理论探索对中国现当代文学"走出去"更具有积极的参照系意义.值得深入研究。
[Abstract]:GE Haowen, known as the chief translator of modern and contemporary Chinese literature, has a profound understanding and thinking about the translator. At the invitation of Soochow Scholarship, on October 24, 2013, in Changshu, he gave a speech entitled "the author and the translator: intersecting and inventing a fragile relationship" in national literature. Even in the context of world literature production, the interaction between the author and the translator is discussed. On the basis of his speech and interviews with him, and part of his translation practice, the author sums up the author's basic ideas on the translator: the translator's "use", that is, the translator's value; The translator's "Tao" is the methodology of translation, the translator's "quality" is the epistemology of translation, and the translator's "self" is the translator's self-cognition and orientation, which is the starting point and fulcrum of all translation. GE Haowen has a strong sense of responsibility and feelings for the translator to "correct the name". His translation practice, experience summary and theoretical exploration have more positive referential significance to the "going out" of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. It is worth studying in depth.
