论中美大学生道歉策略选择之异同

  道歉言语行为的研究是在言语行为理论、礼貌原则、面子理论等语用学理论的发展进程中,是交往规则和言语行为文化差异的跨文化对比研究中不可忽视的一部分。道歉既是一种普遍而又复杂的言语现象,又是一种重要的交际活动,它与陈述、请求、安慰、祝贺、赞美、问候等一样,都是在人与人之间的交流中以语言为交际手段,用语句作为信息承载的言语行为。这些行为的实现,都可能对听话人施加某些影响。如果我们只把“道歉”一词简单地理解为“对不起”、“请原谅”的话,那不免有些狭隘。而最早对道歉语进行研究的是Olshtain(沃尔西顿)和Cohen(科恩),他们将道歉定义为“一种对文化具有敏感性、具有一定的语义成分或策略的言语行为组。”J.Homes (霍姆斯)从功能的角度将道歉定义为“当A冒犯了B,道歉可以被用来维护B的面子,并且弥补冒犯的后果,进而恢复A与B之间的和谐(A是道歉者,B是被冒犯者)。Fraser(弗雷泽)则指出:“只有在两种基本条件成立时,道歉才有可能发生。第一,说话者对自己的举止行为承认负有责任。第二,由于说话者自己的举止行为产生了冒犯对方的后果,说话者因此传递出某种遗憾的信息。”对于道歉,一般都有着约定俗...
