诺贝尔文学奖获奖演说的人际探讨—评价分析

评价理论是以J.R. Martin为首的语言学家对韩礼德系统功能语言学中人际元功能的新发展,是人际意义的一个重要组成部分。本文以系统功能语言学为理论出发点,借助韩礼德的情景语境理论,以马丁的评价理论为具体分析工具,由人际功能延伸到评价理论,回顾了评价理论的形成与发展,详细介绍评价理论的三个子系统:态度,介入和分级,并探讨评价资源如何帮助语篇体现人际意义。本文选取了三篇著名诺贝尔文学奖获奖演说为语篇分析素材,作者分别是威廉·福克纳,海明威和约翰·斯坦贝克。诺贝尔文学奖获奖演说是演讲辞的一种,其语篇特征是由资历深、声望高的文学泰斗对文学创作发表的具有独立见解的言论。采用定量分析法,根据评价理论的三个子系统分别找出语料中表示态度、介入和分级资源的词汇和语法结构,对语料中的各种评价资源进行统计,以求找出语料中表达人际意义的主要手段和特点,并且结合韩礼德的系统功能语言学对所发现的现象给予解释。本研究的目的在于证明马丁的评价理论对于探讨语篇的人际意义具有可操作性和实用性;评价资源在诺贝尔文学奖获奖演说中的分布规律。本文旨在解决以下三个问题:第一,在诺贝尔文学奖获奖演说中,人际功能是怎样通过评价来体...
