【摘要】：与其他翻译活动不同,字幕翻译主要受到时空和声画同一的限制。本文主要研究美国著名情景喜剧《老友记》中幽默的字幕翻译及其得失。 为更好的了解幽默文本的内部结构,本文将采用阿塔多的文字幽默总论分析原文幽默以及对比其译文。文字幽默总论指出幽默文本包含六种知识来源,分别是:脚本不一致,逻辑机制,场景,对象,叙述策略,语言,其中脚本不一致最重要,并且提出任何幽默都包含这一因素。 根据关联理论,字幕翻译是一种涉及两轮明示-推理的交际活动,与一般翻译不同的是,字幕翻译中原文文本既包括语言信息又包括非语言信息。同时,字幕翻译在某种程度上是与原文释义相似的文本。所谓相似,主要体现在两方面:内容相似以及关联度相似。本文着重分析字幕翻译中原文幽默的冗余信息,文化因素及双关语的应用,指出译者必须通过恰当的省略向译文受众传递最为相关的因素以减少他们的加工努力,当受众的认知环境不足又无法加注时,可以在各个层次上做适当的语用调整,使译文受众同样可以通过较多的努力获得额外的语境效果,或者保证译文的关联度与原文趋同。
