“以水取譬”—从认知角度考察汉语中“水”的概念隐喻

自从20世纪70年代以来,隐喻研究不仅在语言学领域,并且在哲学、心理学、社会学等领域引起了人们越来越浓厚的兴趣。莱考夫的概念隐喻理论认为隐喻不仅是一个语言现象,而且是一个思维和认知现象。他对隐喻的定义是:隐喻的实质就是通过一类事物来理解和经历某一类事物。语言中的隐喻表达是隐喻性思维的表层体现。本文正是在认知语言学框架内应用概念隐喻理论考察汉语中水作为源域的概念隐喻,主要旨在回答以下三个问题:（1）汉语中主要有哪些水的概念隐喻?这些隐喻有何特点?（2）汉语中水的概念隐喻背后的体验和文化动因有哪些?（3）汉语中水的概念隐喻反映出隐喻的哪些认知功能,在中国文化和哲学思想的形成中扮演着怎样的角色?本研究的主要语料来源是北京大学汉语语言学研究中心的现代汉语语料库（超过一亿词）,辅以汉语成语字典,汉语诗词等资料,使收集的语料更完整多样。通过对大量语料的归类,分析,鉴别之后,得出以下研究结果:（1）汉语中主要存在八类水的概念隐喻,即“运动是水”、“时间是水”、“金钱是水”、“情感是水”、“力量是水”、“人是水”、“思想是水”和“品德是水”。这些水的概念隐喻的体验动因主要来自于身体、环境、文化这三个途...
