概念隐喻和概念整合的对比分析

隐喻的研究从古典修辞学走到认知语言学,经历了方法、模式以及思路的变革。亚里士多德将隐喻定义为“将另一物体的名称来指称这一物体”。直至上个世纪80年代,Lakoff等人提出了“概念隐喻理论”,将其从认知的角度重新定义为“不仅是一种修辞手法,更是一种认知的工具,使人类赖以生存的思维惯势。(Lakoff,1980) 近期研究呈现这样的趋势:语言学者们以隐喻机制为中心,开始对概念隐喻和概念整合这两个理论的异同比较展开探讨,将二者进行系统的对比分析,总结出一系列的异同点。本研究发现,前期研究结果存在如下的局限性: [1]对二者的特点解释得不够全面,涵盖面较浅。 [2]对二者的架构分析欠缺深度,尤其是概念整合的合成过程缺乏详细说明。 [3]在二理论的构建条件和基础,建构的合理性,以及层创结构方面,尚存空白。 综上,学者普遍认为,二者存在明显差异,有的语言学家还将其二理论归为无法兼容的不同学科领域(Coulson, 2000)。这正是本文要说明的问题,即,二者可以在特定条件下有机结合,统一在共同的理论框架下,形成综合性、适用性更强的综合性认知理论框架,解释更为广泛的语言学现象。这是本文的创新点之一。...
