翻译目的论视角下的《红楼梦》维译策略研究

【摘要】：翻译策略是指译者在处理源语转化成译语时面对不同的文化差异时所采取的方法,有“归化”和“异化”两种。关于“归化”和“异化”的研究,一直以来是翻译界争论的话题。通过对现有翻译策略研究成果的梳理,我们发现学者们倾向于将这两种策略对立起来进行研究,主张选其一进行翻译。但是,一般来讲,翻译所设置的目的不同,将会对译者产生的影响也不同,翻译目的对翻译策略起到决定性作用,本论文将翻译的目的对翻译策略的选择所产生的影响进行研究。本文以《红楼梦》维译本前八十回中的典型例句作为研究对象,在借鉴前人已有的研究成果的基础上,选取有关饮食、建筑、室内装饰、服饰、宗教等具有较强文化背景的词语,从翻译目的论的视角探讨了“归化”和“异化”翻译问题。研究发现在维译的过程中,在目的论视角下可以将归化分为必要性归化和相对性规划,将异化分为必要性异化和相对性异化;归化和异化都不是绝对的,不同的翻译目的会使译者做出不同的选择。译者没有简单地倾向于归化或者异化,而是根据翻译目的的需要,灵活地选择了“归化”或者“异化”,在面对部分文化缺失现象时,译者多采取归化的翻译策略,在出于帮助读者领略原文所表达的人物性格、宗教文化等方面的信息时,译者也会采取异化的翻译策略。由此可以看出在翻译中,我们不能单一的选择归化或者异化翻译策略,而是要根据不同的翻译目的来选取不同的翻译策略,以达到理想的翻译效果。
[Abstract]:Translation strategies refer to the approaches adopted by the translator in dealing with different cultural differences in the translation of the source language into the target language, including "domestication" and "alienation". It has always been a controversial topic in translation circles. By combing the existing research results of translation strategies, we find that scholars tend to study the two strategies against each other and prefer to choose one of them for translation. Different purposes in translation will have different effects on translators, and translation purposes play a decisive role in translation strategies. The purpose of this thesis is to study the effects of translation strategies on the choice of translation strategies. This thesis takes the typical example sentences in the first 80 chapters of the "Dream of Red Mansions" translation as the research object, and draws on the previous research results. This paper discusses the translation of "domestication" and "alienation" from the perspective of translation Skopos by selecting words with strong cultural background such as diet, architecture, interior decoration, clothing, religion and so on. From the perspective of Skopos theory, domestication can be divided into necessary domestication and relativity programming, alienation can be divided into necessary alienation and relative alienation, neither domestication nor alienation is absolute. Different purposes of translation make the translator make different choices. Instead of simply tending to domestication or alienation, the translator chooses "domestication" or "alienation" flexibly according to the needs of the purpose of translation. In the face of the phenomenon of cultural deficiency, the translator chooses "domestication" or "alienation" flexibly. In order to help readers understand the characters, religious culture and other aspects of information expressed in the original text, the translator also adopts the strategy of foreignization. We should not only choose domestication or foreignization translation strategies, but also choose different translation strategies according to different translation purposes in order to achieve the ideal translation effect.
