系统功能语言学语境理论:质疑与反思

【摘要】：系统功能语言学(SFL)非常重视语境在语篇中的作用,其语境理论在语言学界有深远影响。然而,荷兰著名语言学家van Dijk(2008)对SFL的语境观进行了激烈的批评,甚至提出SFL的语境研究误入歧途,必须予以抛弃。本文分析和讨论了van Dijk(2008)对SFL语境观的批评。通过分析,本文证明van Dijk(2008)对SFL语境观的批评中大部分是中肯的、合理的,并认为van Dijk清楚地指出了SFL的语境理论中存在的一些问题,如SFL的语境理论是封闭的,语境三大变量的概念比较模糊,语境和纯理功能的耦合假设相对比较武断,对语境的社会研究比较有限,忽略了语境的心理表征和动态性等。
[Abstract]:Systematic functional Linguistics (SFL) attaches great importance to the role of context in discourse, and its contextual theory has a profound influence in the field of linguistics. However, van Dijk (2008, a famous Dutch linguist, criticized SFL's view of context intensely, and even pointed out that the study of SFL's context went astray and must be abandoned. This paper analyzes and discusses van Dijk (2008's criticism of SFL's view of context. Through analysis, this paper proves that most of van Dijk (2008's criticism of SFL's context view is fair and reasonable, and thinks that van Dijk clearly points out some problems existing in SFL's context theory, such as SFL's context theory is closed. The concept of the three major variables of context is rather fuzzy, the coupling hypothesis of context and pure theory function is relatively arbitrary, the social study of context is limited, and the psychological representation and dynamics of context are ignored.
