【摘要】：正我本南人,兼有北相,虽生于南,而成于北,大半辈子居京华,文字之京味未得正果,语言之京音则颇有心得。我忽然想起所谓"儿化"。"儿"字多义,辞书可参证。有微小之意,也常指儿子。可以是男子的自称,也可以是女子的自称,如元稹《莺莺传》:"玉环一枚,是儿婴年所弄。"还有,作语助,如慢慢儿。最奇特的是北京话(也含某些方言)里一种语音现象,后缀个"儿"字,不自成音节,而同前一字合成一个音
