接触频率对阅读中二语词汇附带习得的影响

2002年,Ellis提出了以频率为中心的二语习得理论。他指出频率是影响语言学习的决定性因素,引起了学术界的广泛讨论和研究。国外许多语言学家对二语习得中输入频率的作用进行了实证研究,其中一个热门课题是关于输入频率对阅读中词汇知识附带习得的影响。然而,国内仅有很少的实证研究关注到这一课题。本研究以中国初级水平的英语学习者为研究对象,主要考查接触频率对通过阅读附带习得二语词汇的影响。为此,本文提出了三个主要的研究问题:1)中国初级水平的英语学习者能否通过阅读附带习得词汇?2)接触频率对中国二语学习者在阅读中附带习得词汇有何影响?3)生词在文本中至少出现多少次才能确保词汇附带习得的出现?为了回答上述问题,本研究对某中学的126名初三学生进行了实证调查。受试者被任意分为三个实验组(E2,E6和E10)和一个控制组。三个实验组分别读2份、6份和10份阅读材料,且每天仅读1份阅读材料。每份阅读材料由10篇英语短文组成,每篇短文中包括1个不同的生词。在全部阅读训练结束后,对实验组进行了一次意料之外的词汇知识测试,测试由10份测试卷组成,分别测试关于10个目标词的产出性和接受性的词汇拼写、语法、语义、...
