“低语境文化”危机的文学再现——以石黑一雄《小夜曲》为例

【摘要】：20世纪70年代,跨文化传播研究领域的先驱爱德华·霍尔指出西方国家正在经历"低语境文化"危机,表现为历史集体记忆缺乏,文化呈现碎片化,人与人之间的关系疏淡,人际交流缺乏心灵的感应而倚重语言的显性信息等特征。进入21世纪,随着全球经济一体化和信息技术革命的推进,文化的共享和变化的速度大大加快,许多国家的原有文化遭到侵蚀,趋向"低语境文化"发展。因此,文化流失、融合和保存问题日益成为当代作家关注的焦点。日裔英国作家石黑一雄特殊的文化身份使得他对当今世界文化的交流和冲突有着切身的体会和深入的思考。他在其短篇小说集《小夜曲:音乐与黄昏五故事》中创设了一个虚拟的社群,寓言般地揭示了当今世界全球化背景下愈演越烈的"低语境文化"趋势,表达了他对全球文化秩序的批判和反思。
[Abstract]:In 1970s, Edward Hall, a pioneer in cross-cultural communication, pointed out that Western countries are experiencing a crisis of "low-context culture", characterized by a lack of collective memory of history, fragmentation of cultures, and thinness of relationships between people. In 21th century, with the development of global economic integration and information technology revolution, the speed of culture sharing and change was greatly accelerated. The original culture of many countries has been eroded and tends to develop in a "low-context culture". The issue of integration and preservation has increasingly become the focus of attention of contemporary writers. The special cultural identity of Japanese British writer Ishihiro Ishihiro has made him have a close understanding and in-depth thinking on the cultural exchanges and conflicts in the world today. His collection of short stories, Nocturne: music and the five Twilight stories, creates a virtual community. Fable reveals the increasingly strong trend of "low context culture" under the background of the globalization of the world, and expresses his criticism and reflection on the global cultural order.
