《日诞之地》中的地理景观:人文主义地理学视角

【摘要】：人文主义地理学主张通过人的意识、感知和体验来研究"地方"及人地关系,并把文学中的景观视为一种主观体验的表达。本文以这一概念为导向,考察美国当代印第安作家斯科特·莫马迪的代表作《日诞之地》中地理景观的表述。莫马迪从印第安人体验的角度,以反差式手法,把印第安传统部落和美国现代都市分别表现为精神意蕴的中心和腐朽异化的空间,并通过前者所蕴含的精神力量来消解后者所代表的压制与异化,以保持印第安人的精神和身份平衡,从而在呼吁当代印第安人回归先祖家园的同时,又给他们指出了一条城市生存的策略。
[Abstract]:Humanism geography advocates the study of "place" and the relationship between people and land through human consciousness, perception and experience, and regards the landscape in literature as an expression of subjective experience.Guided by this concept, this paper examines the expression of geographical landscape in Scott Momadi's masterpiece, the Land of the Birthday.From the point of view of Indian experience, Momadi represented the traditional Indian tribes and the modern American cities as the center of spiritual implication and the decadent space by means of contrast.And through the spiritual power contained in the former to eliminate the oppression and alienation represented by the latter, in order to maintain the Indian spirit and identity balance, so as to appeal to the contemporary Indians to return to their ancestral homes at the same time.It also points out a strategy for the survival of the city.
