[Abstract]:Amy Tan is a famous American Chinese female writer. Her novels are mostly written in the American life of Chinese mother and daughter. But his 2013 publication, "Marvel Valley >" breaks through this model, setting the writing background in China in the early twentieth Century, the main role has become the mother of the West and the daughter of mixed blood. This thesis is intended to be from the culture. With the guidance of the theory of future colonialism, the paper studies the identity of the characters in the "wonder Valley >". The article mainly consists of three parts: introduction, subject and conclusion. The introduction briefly introduces Amy Tan and his novels, literature review, research motivation and significance and cultural identity. The main part includes two chapters. The first part is the first part. The chapter studies the gender identity of the female role. In the feudal China dominated by men, women are marginalized for a long time, but the oppression of different women is different. Therefore, the female characters in the "Marvel Valley >" are divided into three categories. They become numb and even self materialized; however, with the development of the times, they gradually begin to awaken and change their destiny through recessive resistance. The second category is a wife and concubines. Because the patriarchal society is used to the women's three and four virtues, they are accustomed to attachment to their husbands and obedience to their husbands; but when oppression exceeds their limits, they finally The third category is mother. According to the unity of social identity and ethical identity, mothers are divided into three categories: mothers with two identities, mothers with social identity without ethical identity and mothers with ethical identity without social identity. They are in the process of the identity construction of these three types of mothers. The daughter's relationship never converged. The second chapter studies the cultural characteristics of the racial identity of different roles. From the race, the role of the "amazed Valley >" can be divided into American, Chinese and mixed blood. The westerners are divided into two categories. The other is the beauty of life from the United States to China, represented by Lulu. Chinese people. She can not maintain the authority of her colonialist identity, although it is an American, but on her body it embodies the confounding of American culture and Chinese culture. One is a period of colonial destruction and oppression in China from the.19 century to the twentieth Century, represented by John in the United States, and a great deal of Chinese culture. Treasure is plundered, but it also objectively causes Chinese culture to export to the west, to some extent, the westerners' Orientalism prejudice to China. The Chinese are also divided into two categories. One is a discrete person living in the United States because of studying abroad or immigrant. On the one hand, they stick to Chinese culture, on the other hand, they have to try to integrate into American society. In the collision of the two cultures, they gradually come out of the confusion and construct the mixed identity of the Chinese and American cultures. One is the Chinese people living in the semi colonial and semi feudal period of China. The influence of the western culture in the concession makes them embody some Western cultural characteristics in their thought and behavior. The mixed blood is represented by Violet. At first, the colonists thought that she was a complete American, but her lineage and language all reflected the confounding of her identity. After a variety of hardships, she finally completed the identity and construction of her identity. The gradual construction process, whether gender identity or racial identity, has been influenced by the other in the process of their construction. In the coordination of the self and the other, the marginalized women, the disadvantaged culture gradually goes to the center, and the different roles in the marvel Valley eventually build a mixed cultural identity.
