【摘要】：《烦恼的冬天》是美国现代小说家约翰·斯坦贝克(1902-1968)创作的最后一部长篇小说,同时也被认为是其获得诺贝尔文学奖的直接原因。斯坦贝克作品中所描绘的环境伦理问题、工人阶级罢工题材以及圣经隐喻主题一直是大众所关注的焦点,但是关于其作品中所涉及的伦理关怀与道德内涵却鲜有人讨论。本文选择从文学伦理学批评的角度分析《烦恼的冬天》,以“斯芬克斯因子”为切入点对小说主人公伊桑进行研究,通过分析伊桑体内人性因子与兽性因子的不断交锋与变换组合,揭示伊桑伦理意识的辨别以及追寻伦理身份的过程,发现造成伊桑进行伦理选择的原因,挖掘小说伦理叙事的现实意义。论文主要从三个方面进行研究:第一部分主要分析伊桑开始何以能够坚守理性意志,并认为这是人性因子与兽性因子相互制衡的结果。第二部分主要通过对小说中人物理性意志和自由意志的交锋与转换,分析人性因子与兽性因子的博弈。第三部分研究的重点是小说蕴含的道德伦理观,主要通过分析伊桑最终得到的救赎以及理性的回归,阐释作品所具有的伦理教诲价值以及作品所发挥的伦理教化作用,并从文学伦理学批评视角分析作品的道德启示意义。总体而言,本论文就是在文学伦理学批评的指导下,通过文本细读的方法,将感性认识上升到理性认识,最终揭示出斯坦贝克在作品中要呈现给读者们的道德启示,为文学伦理学批评研究提供一个研究个案。
[Abstract]:Winter of annoyance is the last novel by American modern novelist John Steinbeck (1902-1968) and is also considered to be the direct reason for his winning the Nobel Prize in Literature. The environmental ethics, the working class strike and the biblical metaphor in Steinbeck's works have always been the focus of public attention, but there is little discussion about the ethical concern and moral connotation involved in Steinbeck's works. This paper chooses to analyze the Winter of annoyance from the angle of literary ethics criticism, and studies Ethan, the protagonist of the novel, from the point of view of the Sphinx Factor. By analyzing the combination of human nature factor and beast factor in Ethan, this paper reveals the discrimination of Ethan's ethical consciousness and the process of seeking ethical identity, and finds out the reasons for the ethical choice of Ethan. Explore the realistic significance of ethical narration in novels. This paper mainly studies from three aspects: the first part mainly analyzes how Ethan began to stick to the rational will and thinks that this is the result of the checks and balances between human nature factor and beast factor. The second part analyzes the game between human nature factor and beast factor through the confrontation and transformation of the characters' rational will and free will. The third part focuses on the moral and ethical outlook contained in the novel, mainly through the analysis of Ethan's ultimate salvation and rational return to explain the value of ethical education and the role of ethics in the works. The moral enlightenment of the works is analyzed from the perspective of literary ethics criticism. In general, under the guidance of literary ethics criticism, this thesis, through the method of text reading, elevates the perceptual knowledge to the rational understanding, and finally reveals the moral enlightenment that Steinbeck wants to present to the readers in his works. To provide a case study for the study of literary ethics criticism.
